Quadruple WN credit on Alamo rentals (2.0 vs 0.5). Corporate ID 7013880. I think the most important T&Cs are:

rent a midsize car or larger for at least 3 days in US/Canada, 8/15/07-12/15/07.

New Costco coupon for Alamo:
  • $20 off (in addition to 25% off member discount)
  • Min. 4 days
  • Compact thru full-size, mini-van or SUV in US, Latin America, Caribbean or Asia Pacific
  • Valid thru 6/30/08
  • Be prepared to show Costco card. It's an ad for the coupon, but doesn't say to cut it out.

ID# 7013903
Coupon code: AD2775DDL

(Found in Costco Connections Sep 2007 magazine, pg. 60.)

mmmgood,

Thanx so much for your prompt reply and codes! It worked just fine - altho next time I'll concentrate on a code that includes an extra driver as a priority (and look at other rental cos), because Alamo's rate went up to $10/day per extra driver...

Happy trails!

Hi eastwest99,

The Costco/Alamo codes include a free 2nd driver, at least when made over the Internet. If you go to the Costco site/ Travel/Alamo you will find the current discounts/coupons/codes. In fact, the Costco site will eventually link you directly into the Alamo site with the codes filled in.

Thank you ttjoseph and FrankFlyer - these saved me some $$$ ^

I assume that one does not need to actually HAVE an Entertainment Book to use these, right? Will they ask me for anything at the check-in counter?

I've had them ask me for the discount coupons but never the book or the card. You can probably pick up a deeply discounted '07 Entertainment books now. The coupons are good thru 6/30/08.

just booked 7 days in jacksonville florida for base rate of $82 for a mid-size. Used contract ID 7013603 (got $19 off) AND coupon AD3829MRB (another $25), unbelievable. YOU WILL SEE ALL YOUR DISCOUNTS ON THE SECOND SCREEN. I plugged codes for hours and found nothing to beat it.

costco code 7013903 (note one digit diff than above code) worked good too along with coupon combo but it still came out $3 higher above.

Also you can sub coupon au4874odg to get one car upgrade instead of $25 off.

Great combo. It worked great for a 10 day rental in FLL.

I found the best rate using contract 7013535 (AMEX 15% off - it was listed on the Alamo website) and coupon code AD3829MRB. Note that it does not include an additional driver.

Alamo.com changes and missing ID nums?

Hi All,

2 days ago, I booked an alamo rental in SFO for this weekend.
I am sitting in DEN waiting for my final leg to SFO to begin and decided to see if the rates were any better than when I first booked.

I retried the AMEX 15% off codes 7013603, 7014604 and a few other non-Amex but received an error message saying the Corp ID I entered was not valid. I did eventually find a valid code and the rates were about the same ($10 more for total rental). But, I found the missing.

I don't think the codes reached their expiration date or anything. But, I did notice a few subtle changes in the user interface (i.e. before I entered the pickup city as SFO and it worked. Now, when I enter SFO, it asks me to select a specific location from the list of available SFO-area sites) . . . was just curious of they cleaned up their list of codes too.

Anyone else notice anything?
