Armaggedon may be cleared of prisoners for Christian chapel
On the day when a group of F/Ters were visiting Jerusalem as part of the Great Tel Aviv Meet last November, the oldest Christian worship site in Israel was discovered -- on the grounds of a prison at Megiddo (known also as Armageddon).
Now, Israel is considering taking the unprecedented step of moving the entire prison to allow archeological work to proceed on the site. See this article.
Megiddo is already a well-known tourist site, chiefly for its excavation of 26 layers of civilization, going back to the Canaanite period (3000 BC).
