STOGEL long life meals protest!

With all due respect to Stogel, who actually offer very good fresh and frozen meals, their long life meals with a due by date of 2 years out of the fridge, is a disgrace!

Food is horrible and not edible, I don't understand how airlines are serving these meals (even in business class).

Let's have a thread going where consumers can express their feelings about these meals and each time we get them we could send a link of this thread to the airlines.

Also let's have a blacklist of airlines still serving them (I will try avoid these airlines when flying in business class when possible):

Aegean Airlines
Lufthansa ex. Munich (not always so)

I dont like them either, but that said I fully understand why its served. when flying out of Tinbuckto there arent many requests for KSML and no local freah vendor. So if I book a flight a day or so before its just not possible to get a meal in time that will probably have to clear customs as well. Besides no vendor wants to pay for frozen meals not knowing if in the end they will hav eto toss them

Ive flown Cathay Dragon numerous times and it was always Hermolis

Frozen meals last a long time I would expect.

Thanks for update on KA, removed it from the OP list.

TWA once served me a frozen Passover meal out of DCA, it was in Feb and that meal was from the previous Passover. Needless to say I didnt even open the plastic wrapping.

Also at times a vendors est can be way off and the request for KSML uses up their supply so they will use the long-time that they stock, or the new order was delayed. They dont know that wed rather get zippo, as Im sure some folks will actually eat that stuff

And becareful what you wish for, Kantors Bangkok meals or Lasars from Moscow might be just as bad if not worse. I dont touch either of those either, of cause both are Chabad meals. In the US only Regal fresh out of NY is worth anything

Its a good thing I dont fly in order to part take in the meals, and yes its a pleasure when I get that Hermolis box set in front of me, except the breakfast with the baked beans

that said, I believe alot has to do with both the carriers cutting back on what they want to spend and probably more with how much profit the KSML makers want to make
tedcruz likes this.
