Kashrus warning: Vodka and British Airways

British Airways serve only Ciroc Vodka in their First Class cabins. This is made from grape alcohol and is therefore NOT KOSHER!

In the Concorde Room lounge at Heathrow they use the Ciroc vodka for mixing cocktails, however, they will use Grey Goose (which is kosher) if asked. In the Concorde Room lounge at JFK they only seem to have Grey Goose, so no problem there.

odd they only have one vodka onboard, perhaps they will special order, especially for kosher?

for guests paying for F, they certainly should order, considering how inexpensive/cheap it is

Not sure. maybe they do, but they only list Ciroc on their wine & spirits menu. Ciroc is regarded as being a 'Premium' vodka as it is made from pure grape alcohol ... Maybe they have miniatures of Grey Goose in CW? May be worth checking. I'll have a chance to look into it on Wednesday and report back.

Club World has Smirnoff Blue as their standard vodka offering. The crew will gladly serve it to any F passenger as well.

Gray Goose is made from grapes too, if that is an issue.

That information is incorrect. Regular Grey Goose is certified kosher by KLBD. That means that it cannot contain any grape products. It is possible that Grey Goose VX does contain grape products - it is classified as 'Not Kosher' by KLBD.
