Emirates definitely offer kosher as I noted above. Usually rabbi kantor bangkok which is not too bad. I called them up to order. Same with Qatar, although their websites do state they offer kosher, for some reason it doesn't show bookable online.

Flight 207 to mia. Excellent hermolis lunch and light meal.
Lunch was smoked salmon and couscous appetizers, and ribeye main.
Pre arrival was a chicken wrap and fruit and dessert plate.

w/o knowing your exact routing its hard to say. However I had the same choice for my late Aug return from VIE, it would only be a connection. But the extra $$ I felt wasnt worth it. Now had it been say $2-3 more then I probably would have connected via LHR. But anything more then that I felt wasnt worth it. Hermolis is the best there is IMO, but its still not freshly cooked on the plane and is still airline food. HKG has some good restaurants, if you dont land late just head straight and have a better meal then Hermolis will give you, thats what I will do when getting back to NY

Never flown to/from DUS, but Im flying back now via HAM rather then TXL. From FRA and MUC Ive gotten Shohar, which is also a restaurant in FRA(the only 1 I believe). Im praying HAM isnt Stogel, dont think they get many requests for KSML out of HAM. But this way I can arrive the night before and thusly not have to get up @ 4am to get the train to VIE. HAM has a Rad Blu on airport, so I can manage with a 7am wakeup and still beable to do a day trip somewhere out of VIE
I just did ZRH-EWR w/o a meal thanks once again UA. The meal is my last concern I simply have a couple of bowls of ceral either at the hotel or airport lounge
