I was extremely disappointed to get Stogels meals today on Air Canada out of NRT (booked J).
They used serve proper J class Hermolis. That's like going from a Bentley to a skateboard.
Shame on you, Air Canada..

AM, MEX-PTY. No KSML. Asked why, they said I didn't order. When I showed my booking and said I called yesterday to confirm, they revised to, "we checked before the flight and there were none available."

For me it was a week of eating horrible food. Flew LHR-BRU-IAD with SN and UA. The KSML LHR-BRU(J) was unfortunately not Hermolis but Stogel which had been kept on the plane overnight. On top of that, was given plastic cutlery with the meal. BRU-IAD(Y) was the standard frozen falafel in a frozen pitta which had a best by date of June 2019. IAD-LHR(J), was asked by the crew if I wanted to eat the KSML as it didn't look to edible. Despite warnings, I ate it and the lemon cake is still gives it's sour taste. Borenstein never fails to give inedible food ex-USA.

BT(airBaltic), presented me with cold Stogel salmon. I politely declined it and just ate the apricot compote. I did notice that the best by date was June 20th 2020....
The route was RIX(Riga) to LGW on a A220 in Y.

Any update on what Qatar would serve on CMB-DOH then onto LHR in J?
Also, UL in J from PVG-CMB and JAL NRT-PVG in J.

I have taken JL NRT-PVG a number of times but not recently. IIRC they serve Stogel frozen fish meals (not the long life, they are a step better, but below average).
I will be taking this flight in J next week, so if that is before I can let you know. If you are going first you can update me.

It might be heretical around here, but I actually liked it. It certainly had way more calories than my diet calls for and I did not need to pack a meal for this leg of the trip.

The main entree was a drop dry, otherwise, it was pretty good.

Also, I had to fight with the FA's not to remove the outer plastic before reheating. This is a constant issue with JL. On the way to Japan the unsealed one of my two meals (no big loss, I still had way more calories and protein than on a normal day)

All, hoping this thread is still monitored. Just seeking clarification regarding Kosher meals from LHR-EWR with United Airlines in Economy.

The stickied post says ex-LHR is provided by J Stogel, but the Hermolis webite seems to indicate that they provide meals from Heathrow for UA. Is anyone able to clarify whether my Kosher meal is more likely to be supplied by Stogel or Hermolis?

Also, the return flight- EWR-LHR with UA. Same question again!

Thanks!

@travllerk I thought the Stogel meal I received was decent. It was a bit different to the one you got, but was tasty.

@ajholmes Welcome to flyertalk and the Religious Travlers forum. Hope to see more of you on here.
Last time I flew UA from LHR it was Stogel and I believe it is still the case unless this has changed since July. In regards to what meal you get form EWR, it will be Borenstein. Probably best to bring your own food on both flights as the meals are quite far off enjoyment.

HND (Haneda, Tokyo) - LHR on BA in premium economy (World Traveller Plus). I was served economy class fish dinner + breakfast from Peter Unger caterer in Melbourne (Australia). Looked pretty basic but was surprisingly tasty. I have never been served Unger's meals outside of Australia - normally Lewis's from Sydney (or Hermolis/Stogel from Europe or Kantor from Bangkok) are supplied instead.
No major complaints as it tasted 'home made'.

Ive had The Stogel frozen numerous times its not bad and serves its purpose, The long life is another story, just nasty! The only time I was extremely disappointed with Stogel frozen was when UA served it to me ex LHR, I thought it would be Hermolis, it was the meal just that I flew RIX-FRA-LHR and didnt mind no meals till LHR since I knew the feast of Hermolis was awaiting me, when I got Stogel I wasnt a happy camper, but still ate it and was thrilled it wasnt Stogel LL
