Transfer points to another member
I’m finding contradictory information on this.
Can elite members transfer points to someone else? If so, how? I have a Radisson Europe account. |

Is this only an elite benefit?

I transferred points from multiple accounts into my account several years ago (when they had a 50k bonus per Radisson stay promo and I had some relatives stay at Rads).
From the T&C https://www.radissonhotels.com/en-us...and-conditions 1. Transfers by Members with Elite Status: Radisson Rewards or Radisson Rewards for Business members with Elite Status may transfer points from that member’s account to another account upon request. 2. Transfers within a Household: Radisson Rewards or Radisson Rewards for Business members may transfer points to another member who resides in the same household, provided both individuals have been members for at least one year and the addresses for both accounts involved in the transfer have not been updated within thirty (30) days prior to the transfer request. Radisson reserves the right to require proof of eligibility or residency and, in its sole discretion, deny any request to transfer points.

- elite members can transfer to anyone - household members independent of status can transfer amongst themselves |

From the T&C https://www.radissonhotels.com/en-us...and-conditions How would you interpret the two paragraphs above? I would read it as - elite members can transfer to anyone - household members independent of status can transfer amongst themselves The email I sent from my husband's account also did not received any response, not even Robot reply. He should be able to transfer his to mine even he is just Club due to the Household status. |
They probably “right sized” customer service in anticipation of the sale. Lower cost = higher sale price.

That is exactly what I read - but there is no online option in my account (Gold), called the CS number met with very very long wait, the option of call back from CS worked zilch.

Here's the number that I used. .(888) 288-8889 We've consolidated points in our family several times. It's been very easy. I wish you success.
I guess the Choice acquisition makes them overwhelmed. UPDATE Got an email reply from them this afternoon instructing to call the same number. Today the phone system was better, got a human then one transfer to another rep who was able to perform the consolidation. Now all pts are in my account, his is Zero. Description shown in my account is a bit weird as Gifting Points "to" (my husband's name) while it should be "from". In his account it said Gifting Points to Member. In any case I am just glad this is done. Next step is to set up the Rest of the World account. Hopefully it is a glitch-free process. |
I was able to transfer my international balance to my Americas account. Now I need to find a way to squander my points so I can be done with this bunch.
ETA: 2 rooms at SLC airport for 20K per room and 2 rooms in Santa Maria Ca for 30K per room and hopefully I am done! |
Managed to do an international to international transfer between 2 premium members (different addresses). Took 20 min on the phone to the call centre - initially they tried to get me to use 'gift points' on the website but that brings up the points.com paid-for system. Eventually they checked their notes in more detail and just needed membership number/name/email of the destination party and the points were successfully transferred and showed up immediately. Not the smoothest process but at least it worked in the end!

I was Radisson Gold for years due to the credit card. Now there is no credit card and my status dropped to silver. I always understood I was able to easily transfer points due to my Gold status. Does dropping to silver prevent me from moving points?

The T&Cs all seem slightly vague (and the rep didn't seem at all sure so regardless you may have success with HUACA!). If at the same address I think there's no issue, if at different addresses then you're meant to be a Premium member. Also not allowed address changes in the past 30 days (presumably to make it harder for folk to just shift address around to do mergers).

Thanks, Ediflyer, that's helpful Unfortunately the person whom might get points from me is not at my address. However, I've gifted him points before. I might throw myself on the mercies of the customer service person and see if they will look at history and consider a dispensation. Likely not, but there's no harm in asking.

Just to update - @rhacareteam on Twitter were actually very helpful. It seems my new Radisson Americas account was in a 'pending' state and hence the transfer couldn't complete. They needed some more profile details (which the website wouldn't let me add - just kept on not saving but without an error!). After they'd added those and confirmed my account was in an 'open' status it worked fine. The amounts themself were annoying - had to do the tens of thousands, then the hundreds then the tens in 3 separate transfers for some reason but at least it worked in the end :)

My wife is trying to send me some points (Radisson International program), under the 'Transfer Points between Radisson Rewards members' option so we can consolidate points, but no 'Transfer points' button appears, is this because her account hasn't been used for some time of similar?
