Changing account name multiple times?
Just wondering if anybody else has tried to change account name and change it back multiple times.
My husband is a gold elite member. 70% of our stays are together, 20% are him on his own and 10% would be me on my own. The problem is that the account and card are in his name so for those 10% of stays we don't get the points bonus, upgrades, 2 for 1 weekend stays etc. I see that you can change the name on the account but I was just wondering how the system hooks into the actual hotel front desk in terms of what they see. For example my husband has a room booked for May 1st. I want to book a room for may 4th. Could I change the name on the account to my name on the 3rd so that when I check in it looks like I own the account and then change it back on the 5th so it doesn't impact on future stays? As another option should I just book the room in his name and check in and say nothing? In Ireland we have never been asked to provide a membership card at checkin. I was hoping to book a room in China in July though so not sure if they would be stricter there? We are just about going to make gold status again next year so I need every stay to count!! |
I ask ClubCarlson and get a extra card for my wife with the same number as on my card...
