GOLD.

Return visit. Just one night. Didn't feel like spending $, so decided to use UR points for whatever hotel near LAX. Radisson LAX was the cheapest, 8K UR points.

11am check in. Here they are very strict about no early check ins. I have seen lobby full at noon with people and suitcases waiting for 3pm checkin.

Upgrade to suite on top floor, suite is very spacious, tired and outdated, but very acceptable. All works. Great view of runway and century blvd

I asked for breakfast tickets, got two of them. Good for coffee and pastry at bar, not restaurant. I would have not been issued this tickets if I did not ask. Got a welcome amenity sent up, evian half liter bottle, fresh fruit and pastries.

Hotel shuttle is fast since hotel is next to LAX.

now to see if points are issued for OTA booking, doubt it.

What is the frequency of the hotel shuttle? We're staying here tonight and wondering whether to wait for it at LAX or walk (we'll be coming in to terminal 6 with just carry ons).

This hotel seems to have reflagged. See the discussion in the Hyatt forum.

:(

Just checked and it is no longer part of Radisson.

I was able to redeem cheap nights via UR mall, and I was always upgraded and issued points/stay credit, etc.

Was it remodeled? Decor was way out of style. Although kept up and in working order.

I liked that the staff was well trained to recognize elite members and automatically gave me upgrade, welcome amenity and breakfast voucher.
