Not quite the reply that I was hoping for.
Dear qLir,

Good day!

Thank you for taking the time to write us and for being a Radisson Elite member.

We would like to inform you that under the terms and condition of the Radisson Rewards program there are some rates which are not eligible for the Radisson Rewards award points policy. Please visit the below link:

https://www.radissonhotels.com/en-us...and-conditions

I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
Regards,

Shivangi, Global Member Care Specialist, Radisson Rewards

Comments: Hi, it currently seems as though there is no basic award room availability at every brand hotel globally, and it has been that way for at least a week now. Does Radisson Rewards have a statement on this?

The information in the link they sent says..." Award Nights apply to a standard room with standard occupancy.", yet a) standard rooms are available for cash but not points while b) "non-standard" rooms are available for points. After this lengthy a period of time, this is some strategy and not an error.

This is total BS. How can they advertise "award rooms starting at 9,000 points" when you cannot book a single room on any date on Earth at the standard rate?

I also ran into this and when I called they were closed. I called back the next day gave the 2 hotels I was thinking about ( 2 Park Inns at 2 different European airports) for Oct , and the csr asked for my acct info. And both were available for 38K rather then the Exec room online @ 57k. Yea its a pita but its doable. Decided to go with a hotel thats attached to the term rather then have to deal with a shuttle. Also I wouldnt have used my pts anyways since the value would have been < 2 cents, so keep that in mind as well that many hotels now have really low $ rates

I spoke with the call center yesterday - this is what they had to say in response to my question:

"Radisson Rewards has identified a system issue that is limiting standard award night from being displayed on the website.

Members can call the call center directly at 1.800.333.3333 where they can find the full inventory of room redemption options, including standard nights. "

the only downside for me is CS isnt open 24/7. But I usually go online look to see if there any hotels Id be interested in and then call up to see if Standard is available and how many pts. All the reps Ive spoken to were very understanding and helpful

Two months rather. Have they furloughed their IT dept? I say it is going underwater with this type of new management.

Anyone know their CS call center hours? They are shockingly narrow.

I really can't understand how is it possible to not be able to fix this for such as long time. But at the same time, does it make any sense to redeem points these days? With cash rates being low (often all-time low) and redemption rates being the same as always, staying on points does not seem as such a great value.

I get what you're saying. But all these programs continue to devalue points, so sometimes even if you aren't getting a great value you might still want to get rid of them if you have a lot. Radisson used to have a lot of hotels in the US and abroad available at lower categories, but now many of the former Category 1 hotels (i.e. airport hotel hotels in the Greater Houston area) are Category 3 which made them go from a good deal to a rather awful one.
