Check in/out takes an age, not just the queue but the actual clerk takes an age for a really simple, swipe card, sign here routine, bearing in mind as Platinum they are not supposed to swipe the card at check in.
Bathroom setup is a mess and lack privacy
Pillow are tiny
Breakfast was a bit of mess and overcrowded, they no longer use the central bar counter for the buffet like they used to

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
You are paying for the view, under 120 euro/night anything more head somewhere else

Park Plaza Waterloo reports

Also a regular at the Park Plazas in London, incl. the PP Waterloo: The reports above do not surprise me, staff at the Waterloo property appear to "Trainees" more often than not, but the training appears to be throwing them in at the deep-end which means that the soft product experience usually is painful throughout.

Booked standard room, got double upgrade to premium room

Radisson Blue Hotel, Madrid Prado

What is your Radisson Rewards status?
GOLD

Where did you stay?
Radisson Blu Hotel, Madrid Prado

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
YES

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Superior room, upgraded (slightly) to a Premium Room with Balcony

Did you receive elite benefits?
  • Gold: Complimentary Room Upgrade (YES)
  • Early Check In (YES, noon)
  • Late Check Out (YES, 1:30pm)
  • In-Room Welcome Gift (NO -- nor was glass of wine -- visible on shelf behind desk -- offered upon check-in)
  • Water (Yes, two bottles per day)

How are the rooms?
Plush pillows, good clean bedding, subtle low-key lighting, very clean all around.

What was good?
  • Great location -- short walk to museums, Retiro Park, shopping, dining, Metro. Great coffee at Umami just 20 steps from hotel entrance.
  • Nespresso machine in room.
  • Plush pillows.
  • Polygonal shower enclosure with big showerhead and long flexible wand; hydrotherapeutic water pressure.
  • Friendly, courteous bilingual staff.
  • Big, high-quality breakfast of breads, cheese, charcuterie, fresh-squeezed juice, and plain yogurt (but see below).
  • Good (not perfect) soundproofing against city noise. Excellent sense of privacy.
  • No pushback about breakfast for second guest despite booking the room for one person.
  • Three Ubers we called were all less than three minutes from hotel.
What was bad?
  • Coffee and canned fruit at breakfast were horrible.
  • Interminable check-in process. (I think sitting at the desk for nine minutes counts as interminable.)
Value for money or Gold Points?
YES. Approximately 80 euros per night for two nights with breakfast for two, plus receiving the 5K bonus points.

Would you return?
YES.

Gold

Where did you stay?
Radisson Blu East Midlands Airport, UK

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked standard room, received upgrades each time to superior (runway view) rooms

Did you receive elite benefits?
Complimentary Room Upgrade - Yes
Early Check In - Not requested
Late Check Out - Not requested
In-Room Welcome Gift - Yes, I think so (a small bottle of wine in the room each time)
Bottle of water - Yes (well the superior rooms come with a 'free' mini bar (1 small Heineken, a small diet coke, 2 bottles of still water)

How are the rooms
Superior rooms are nice. Rooms on 3rd floor are in better shape due to less use than the 'preferred' 4th floor rooms they give to regulars or elites...runway view is nice but currently only cargo planes using the runway and one can hear a bit of noise so if that is an issue request rooms not facing the runway! (likely also in better condition due to less use). 4 stays, 1 each week in Dec. 2020 and all one or two night stays.

What was good and what was bad?
Good

Room, staff, location (for me as very convenient to M1 motorway and where I need to be) elite recognition (such as it is) and Covid measures are taken seriously.
Breakfast is delivered to the room and was always good with nice variety of items as part of the continental items plus 1 hot item in addition. (usually delivered in 30 minute slots and regularly in the middle of that chosen time slot.
Evening meals are room service only, a limited but good menu to choose from and no tray charge. Quick delivery to room from ordering times (around 15-20 minutes max). and friendly, helpful staff. One could bring in a take away as well and they had cutlery, napkins and other condiments plus a microwave available for guests to use in the lobby behind the reception.

Bad
Nothing really. Covid means no ability to use the bar, lobby or restaurant but that is just because of tier 3 restrictions not the hotel.

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
Yes, excellent value for money. Great service and friendly staff. Hotel was renovated just a year or so ago so rooms and hotel still quite nice.

Where did you stay?
Country Inn & Suites Orlando Airport

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Mixed

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Standard 2-queen room, received the same

Did you receive elite benefits?
Complimentary Room Upgrade - NO
Early Check In - not needed
Late Check Out - did not ask but probably won't need, might ask for an hour or two
In-Room Welcome Gift - no, not even water

How are the rooms
Looks kind of old. Apparently it was recently renovated No pad of paper or alarm clock even. No safe. Very basic.

What was good and what was bad?
Good

Location, location, location. My good friend is a bartender at another hotel across the street. Also this hotel was really cheap.
Checkin staff was extraordinarily friendly.

Fridge AND microwave in room.
There is free grab n go breakfast 0600-0900.
The pool is nice and in the sun.

Bad
The wifi is impossibly slow. The room kind of sucks. Extremely basic. Not even an alarm clock. There was a message on the machine from two weeks ago causing the phone to flash.

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
At $65 a night I can't rightfully complain, this is cheaper than anything else in the area and a great location. However, I probably won't stay here again.

In-Room Welcome Gift - No.
Bottle of water - Yes (well the superior rooms come with a 'free' mini bar (1 small Heineken, a small diet coke, 2 bottles of still water)

How are the rooms
Superior rooms are nice. This time a room on 4th floor which was in good shape (maybe because it faced the motorway, no noise issues though so happy with the room and position (467 room number)). I love the fact that the rooms are modern and have laminate floors so less dusty/easier to clean.

What was good and what was bad?
Good

Room, staff, location (for me as very convenient to M1 motorway and where I need to be) elite recognition (such as it is) and Covid measures are taken seriously.
Breakfast is delivered to the room with no tray charge, this week in addition to the nice variety of items as part of the continental items one can now ask for a full English breakfast (beans, hash brown, tomato, sausage, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 fried eggs) which I did and it was lovely. (usually delivered in 30 minute slots and regularly in the middle of that chosen time slot.) Other hot options exist so excellent choice given Covid measures and room delivery.
Evening meals are now possible outside by the entrance or room service, a limited but good menu to choose from and no tray charge if to the room. Quick delivery to room from ordering times (around 15-20 minutes max). and friendly, helpful staff. One could bring in a take away as well and they had cutlery, napkins and other condiments plus a microwave available for guests to use in the lobby behind the reception. The outside seating area is generally quite windy to do the wind direction here so opted for room service and it was excellent.

Bad
Nothing really. Covid means no ability to use the bar, lobby or restaurant but that is just because of current restrictions not the hotel. May 17th should hopefully open up more options in this regard according to current restriction easing measures.

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
Yes, excellent value for money. Great service and friendly staff. Hotel was renovated just a year or so ago so rooms and hotel still quite nice. Happily stay again and recommend. I'll be back. (pictures of the room in previous post on this thread for those interested).

Safe travels everyone.

Where did you stay?
Radisson Blu Riverside Gothenburg

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked standard, got a nice premium room (twice, so it seems to be a policy).

Did you receive elite benefits?
Complimentary Room Upgrade - Yes.
Early Check In - Got my room at 9:15 in the morning on one of my two stays.
Late Check Out - I requested 14:00 during one of the stays and got it.
In-Room Welcome Gift - Yes, water and some candy.

How are the rooms
Nice, hip design, in a good working order.

What was good and what was bad?
I like the overal style of the hotel, bar is excellent and service professional. Bad thing is that bathrooms lack privacy, which is why I only chose this property when travelling solo. When travelling with others, I opt for RB Scandinavia. I would also be more inclined to choose Scandinavia if I haven't had status as standard rooms at Riverside are quite small.

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
Definitely, rates are down to ~100€ during the pandemic. I will be back.

Where did you stay?
Radisson Blu Scandinavia Gothenburg

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, but... (see below)

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
I'm booking standard and usually get executive room. These have nice view and are fairly large.

Did you receive elite benefits?
Complimentary Room Upgrade - Yes.
Early Check In - Note requested.
Late Check Out - I requested it once on an evening before the departure and was told to ask in the morning. That doesn't work for me as I mostly want LCO so I can sleep longer.
In-Room Welcome Gift - Yes, water and some candy.

How are the rooms
It depends a lot on what you get. The hotel is recently renovated, with some rooms having a very nice down-to-earth design, other are outright eclectic. Keep in mind that many rooms face to atrium rather than outside. This is one of properties where getting the right room is everything.

What was good and what was bad?
If you get a nice room, it's a great hotel. However, the service has been a bit patchy recently. They struggle assigning a room according to my preference (bed preference, bathroom type preference) and if I want to switch it, I often end up with one of the worse rooms so I stopped trying.

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
This is my go-to hotel when travelling with other people. When I'm solo, I go for RB Riverside which is better, at least if you have a status, but their bathrooms lack privacy.

yes, very happy

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Standard double queen room with 2 bunkbeds, upgrade to high floor corner room with view, mini fridge, no microwave

Did you receive elite benefits?
Complimentary Room Upgrade - Yes
Early Check In - not needed
Late Check Out - 6pm, this late is a first for me
In-Room Welcome Gift - Sort of, due to covid hotel stated they did not issue gift, but waived $25 parking fee as gift
Platinum Breakfast at Market for all 5 guests was free (1 juice/coffee, 1 pastry/sandwich, 1 fruit)

How are the rooms
Modern room, great views, new, spacious
Rooms facing Disneyland (fireworks) also are adjacent to highway and maybe loud, my room faced opposite direction and was quiet

What was good and what was bad?
Good

Location (walk to Disneyland, although ART shuttle is available)
New, great ground floor heated pools, adults only rooftop pool and hot tub, skybar, ground floor restaurant, overall a nice property
Elite recognition

Bad
No cream in room, requested some, in 1 minute delivered, but they gave me small little nondairy creamer powder. Other Blu's I have staid at have Nespresso machine with cream cups.
Pool opens at 9am, too late IMHO

Where did you stay? (Brand, Location, Country)
Park Inn, KEF, Iceland

Were you) happy with the hotel/stay?
Good, until check out.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked standard, received standard.

Did you receive elite benefits?
Complimentary breakfast

How are the rooms?
Fine

What was good and what was bad?
Good:
Everything up until checkout.
Bad:
Check out, having to pay cash for a room reserved and paid with points.

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
Would definitely not return. The customer should not be on the hook because of a dispute between a hotel and their corporate parent. Since the stay ended up being a paid stay, they should have awarded points, but they have not even done that.

Radisson Blu, East Midlands Airport, U.K.

Were you) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked standard, received superior.

Did you receive elite benefits?
Yes. (upgraded room and water)

How are the rooms?
Good.

What was good and what was bad?
Good:
The hotel has great staff that help make this a nice place to stay. Breakfast offering now has a cooking station with a cook for omelettes and eggs freshly made to order.
Bad:
Nothing this stay, however, some rooms are starting to show signs of wear and could use a bit of TLC (hooks loose, shower heads starting to block up)

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
Yes, definitely recommend for anyone staying at the airport over other chains here and also for those wanting a convenient stop on the M1 motorway.

Where did you stay?
Radisson Blu Collection Royal Copenhagen

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked standard and got upgraded to a suite (well, junior suite, see below).

Did you receive elite benefits?
Complimentary Room Upgrade - Yes.
Complimentary Breakfast - Yes.

Early Check In - Not requested.
Late Check Out - Not requested.
In-Room Welcome Gift - Yes, two bottles of water (still and sparkling) replenished daily + some macaroons on arrival.

How are the rooms
Good, but what they call suite is actually a junior suite (most importantly, there is no partion between the sleeping area and the "living room"). I'm not complaining, it was a great room, but manage your expectations accordingly.

What was good and what was bad?
Room was great (that applies to bathroom as well) and so was view. This hotel is very much about design and it's beautiful. Service was professional although sometimes leaned on cringy (seriously, don't force Danes to small talk, it's never ever going to work ).

Nothing was bad but the TV doesn't have a Chromecast (duh) and breakfast could have more extensive offering.

Value for money or Gold Points? Would you return?
At 150€ per night this was a steal. The best location you can get in Copenhagen and a great room in an excellent hotel.
