It is sad a lot of Hotels are going up, I'm happy to see that my favourite Park Inn in Sarvar Hungary about 100 miles away from my home are still 9K as the normal room rate is always between 90-115 Euros per room so it is still a fantastic value and I will use al of my 320K points at this Hotel.

Missed this previously. I was looking to see if I wanted to make a mattress run to get some bonus points, but now I see that since the original 100K promo last year, hotels I was interested in have been bumped up such that I may not bother. Unlike most, I was targeting some low end hotels (e.g. Park Plaza Beijing West) that were Cat 1/9000 points. That hotel was bumped up to Cat 3/28K points. So a 50K bonus went from being the equivalent of 5 free nights to 1 and change.
Should be expected as they give away points, but for me it has quashed my gusto for making some bookings in this next week just to get the bonus. There may be a few people in the same boat as me, so just be sure that the hotels you are interested in have not been shifted up in category such that your point bonus for a stay has crossed the threshold for price/value.
