I find the exchange rate underwhelming.
$100 credit on a two-night stay for 38,000 points.
$250 credit on two-night stay for 94,000 points (saves 1,000 points).
$500 credit on two-night stay for 188,000 points (saves 2,000 points).
200,000 points is enough for 4 free nights at highest category 6 hotel. The rates at a category 6 hotel will certainly be a much higher value than $125 per night. Using points for Carlson Hotels looks like much higher redemption value than $500 credit on a 4-night ClubMed stay.
(Unclear yet if the 10% reduction in points will remain for additional reward nights on an extended stay. This would mean a category 6 hotel = 50 + 45 + 45 + 45 = 185,000 points).
ClubMed is an option, but not really convinced it is a good value option.
Fine print says this credit may not be used with pother promotional offers. Depending on how that is interpreted, finding a discount on a ClubMed stay might be the better option than using goldpoints for rate credit.
