LX: this weekend's web specials

The new web specials are out, ZRH-FCO is available for CHF99, ZRH-LAX for CHF599, among others. Is anybody considering a booking? I might head down to Rome on Saturday or Sunday...

Great functionality...... When trying to book ZRH-LAX (just to see how much the tax was gonna be), the site tells me that I can't book this flight online within this timeframe before departure. Hmmmmm.....

No seats available for most of the flights..

Thanks Swiss...

I've just booked the following itinerary for CHF166 (99+tax):

LX 2984 SWISS Zurich Basel 08:40 / 18JAN 09:15 / 18JAN Economy
LX 1760 SWISS Basel Rome (FCO) 09:45 / 18JAN 11:20 / 18JAN Economy

LX 1761 SWISS Rome (FCO) Basel 17:55 / 18JAN 19:40 / 18JAN Economy
LX 2993 SWISS Basel Zurich 20:05 / 18JAN 20:40 / 18JAN

Oddly enough, the site seems to allow routings via GVA/BSL at no extra cost right now...

Dont think so , the 70 CHF ZRH- Bale extra was already added to your 99 Rome from Zurich trip .. looks normal ..

Oli,

I cannot find your flights.

For Rome you can only fly out of Zurich.
So how come are you flying out Basel from Zurich to Rome?

Nope, CHF99 for ZRH-FCO plus CHF70 for the extra legs via BSL would be 169 without tax. My total was CHF166.50 with tax for ZRH,BSL and FCO.

Not if you consider the 1000 extra status miles, 1000 extra e>ticket miles and 1000 extra e>checkin miles.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Very nice price indeed, 166,50.- CHF tax incl.

3000 club miles, 2000 e-tkets, 1000 e-cheking, 1000 online bkk.
Total: 7000 miles and of course maybe 3000 TC Gold bonus.

This is strange as hell. Booking ZRH-FCO is no problem. But when I try to add a feeder flight from Basel, I get the stupid message about not being able to book within that timeframe. I guess it's the flights from Basel that are the problem.

Now I'm thinking about just driving to ZRH by car and still route the flight through Basel. Is a hassle, but regarding the miles, it's a good offer.

Would be nice if you could join me. You can also take the train from BSL and then on the way back only fly to the EuroAirport and scrap the last segment...

kooks, TC Gold bonus is only 30% on the 3000 status miles, so 900 miles.

airoli, you're going in the 18th, right ? I have a full schedule on Saturday, so I'll probably be going on Sunday. When scrapping the last leg, wouldn't that alter my fare ? I would for sure lose the 500 club miles, and right now I'm going for Silver and need all the clubmiles I can get...

Anybody else going on Sunday ?

Oli,

I don t follow. Have the bonus distribution changed?

Do you get the bonuses as usual for every 10'000 club miles 3000 bonus (TC Gold) or do you get 30% each time you get club miles?.
