Miles on Swissair with credit cards
 

Does anyone know if there are credit cards available that allow one to accrue miles on Swissair. I live in the US and I've heard of a Eurocard that allows you to get miles but I think you have to have a Swiss address (CH) to apply for this card. Any help??

some swiss Eurocard (linked with Mastercard), some swiss VISA cards (from UBS), and (swiss) Diners Club and (swiss) American Express card either credit miles directly to your Qualiflyer account or the points can be transfered.

Some of the above cards don't need a swiss residency, a swiss bank account sometimes is good enough.

AMex membership rewards in certain countries (I am a UK member) allow transfer into your Qualiflyer account.

I lived in the Netherlands last year and had a Dutch Amex-card. There it was possible. Recently I moved to the us and it's not possible there.

And on top of it all, they transferred the miles from my last Dutch Amex statement (double miles in december!) to the US so those miles will never go to qualifluer :-( anymore.

Some U.S.-based hotel programs have Qualiflyer as a partner, and you can convert hotel points into miles.

For example: the Sheraton (Starwood) Amex Optima card -- 1 point / dollar. You can then convert points into Qualiflyer miles.

The Starwood Optima (AMEX) card allows transfer from the Starwood acct to the QF acct. Transfer 20k Starwoods for 25k QF's.
