connection with different tickets

hi everyone,

I have a Glagow-Lisbon ticket with a 3 days stopover in BRU, where i'll get a flight to Dusseldorf. this other flight is in a different ticket from a different reservation. My question is, can I check in in glasgow to dusseldorf directly? or will i have to pick up my luggage in BRU and check in to DUS there again?

Thanks

Pedro

You should at least be able to have your bags checked through, although you may well need to check yourself in again in Brussels.

Just explain to the checkin staff at Glasgow and show them your tickets.

If both of your flights are on the same airline like SN, they should be able to check you in from Glasgow to DUS via BRU.

Thanks.

Indeed both my flights are with SN... but just another question... if the first flight gets delayed, do I get the same "treatment" as if both segments were in the same reservation? Like, getting me on a later flight if I miss the connection?

Thanks again.

biscoito: the rule-book says No, but the personal experience says yes. Chances are very good.

ok, thanks a lot Rudi...

this happened cause one of the tickets is a student fare and the other is a special "instant buy" weekend fare...

thanks again everyone
