QR Upgrade for Cash
Does anybody know how often Qatar Airways offers pay upgrades upon check-in when business class isn't full? In particular, I will be flying from LHR-DOH on QR006 on December 15th and DOH-MAN on QR041 on December 20th. I will be connecting through LHR from the US so how do I go about paying for the upgrade if I won't be checking in at a QR desk in LHR? Also, how much do the upgrades normally cost? In case there aren't upgrades, how is QR Y class? Thanks!
