QR Seating Conundrum

I was in the process of booking a flight with QR from the Northeastern USA to the Maldives for next April (8th - 15th April). While reserving my seat by the window, I noticed that they mentioned the windows are rare-facing. As someone who experiences slight claustrophobia, I must have a window seat so that I can look out. However, I have an intense aversion to rare-facing seats. I DESPISE RARE FACING SEATS WITH THE HATE OF A THOUSAND SUNS

I've searched extensively for Qatar Airways flights departing from either IAD or JFK that offer forward-facing window seats. Unfortunately, I haven't found any and I do not have much flexibility with my travel dates.

I'm also curious if there are any plans for QR to reconfigure their aircraft or make changes for flights departing from the USA. My last experience with Qatar Airways was in 2019 when I flew from Madrid on an A359 with a forward-facing window seat, and then from Doha to Rome on a B788 or B789, which also had forward-facing windows. It would be reassuring to know if they plan to eliminate rare facing seats or change the aircrafts plying the USA routes.

There are forward facing window seats on Qsuite flights if you don't want rear facing seats (though the seats are closer to the aisle with the storage located by the window, you can definitely look out without any problems). They're seats B and J on the seat map for Qsuite here if you're not sure what I meant : https://www.aerolopa.com/qr-351-1

I don't think anyone here knows what QR plans to do (and they're also notorious for having last minute equipment swaps), but they have forward facing seats in every type of configuration.

Ahhhh, thank you so very much. I think I misunderstood the seating chart when I was booking the flights earlier today. Much appreciated.

If you have slight claustrophobia you may find the B and J seats a little close as you are seated right next to the door. The actual window side seats (A and K, rearfacing) are more spacious around the head area.

What is your aversion to rear facing seats may I ask? As someone who gets motion sick I hate facing rearwards on trains and cars (don't even get me started on ferries) but I have had absolutely no issues with rear facing seats on aircraft.

I despise them for two

While I don't get motion sickness, I am always discombobulated for a bit when I have to stand, as facing the opposite direction of the motion of the vehicle/craft is not the norm. Secondly, on take off, I am pulled forward into the seat belt and have to jam myself with my legs to not be pulled out of the seat and have the belt cut into me. Once was enough for me. For me: rear facing seats on an aircraft are stupid. I avoid them at all cost. Thanks for your information as well. I will consider all options.
