QR Vs BA Business Lounge & General Product / Service - LHR
I have a feeling I know the answer but can anyone give me a run down of the lounges and indeed the product and service between QR & BA out of LHR please.
Have travelled QR First out of Doha and hugely impressed with the product. But I've never used them out of LHR.
Would very much appreciate advice and indeed any reviews or threads that could be useful. Apologies I'm not so often on the QR thread so not seeing so much jumping out at me.

Weirdly I've not been back to T4 that I recall since those days. But did read QR were now T4 based. So I've zero feel for the experience or product. Just looked at parking and for reasons unknown they have no valet parking there where they do at 3 and 5. Strange.
Mind I'm with you on the CX and Quantas lounges at T3.
Thanks for sharing opinion on the QR product

Also the lounge could not be closer to the QR gates, 30 seconds away. The QR status lounge downstairs is also superior to BA T5 Galleries, excellent food, friendly staff & plenty of seating.

Nevertheless close enough to be very useful and without being miles away like BA. And as it goes, I do have a slower moving unit travelling with me this time, so that's a factor for sure. Big one as it goes. Appreciate the education .... keep it coming

The QR premium lounge beats any BA lounge.
So do the F and J services onboard (food, especially wines).
The F seats beats the BA F seat. The J Qsuite easily beats the new BA club suite.
QR non-Qsuite J seats are good, but don't have that door

It was specifically the LHR ground product that I'd managed to avoid all this time .... and ironically (and stupidly) have been using BA options in T5.
Our alternatives are EK which we enjoy reasonably well in J (and occasionally F) but I'm getting the impression that the LHR QR ground product beats EK as well?
Apologies, I should have included the EK reference in the thread heading. Would I be right in thinking the QR option beats the EK equivalents in F & J out of LHR?
Thanks

Also not a big fan of aisle facing seats.
Agree with everything, even with the thing whatever T4 is QR beats BA on every aspect.

Miles ahead of any BA lounge incl. CCR.
Some pics of the food in the QR LHR Premium lounge back in May:

Curious what the champagne and wines served in LHR QR are and indeed how wide a scope of cocktails they muster? Have to say I'm far from knowledgeable in that area but the reds in the F lounge in DOH were on another level ..... light years ahead of the BA or indeed EK options.
Funny, I had a flight in F on QR to Maldives early year and I'd opened a really good red in the shorter leg and didn't really have the capacity to finish it. The FA was clearly way more knowledgeable than me and almost begged me to finish it! I complied

Even down in the other Frequent flyers lounge (for non-J pax) they serve the braised beef cheeks by Do&Co, the same ones you see in BA CW as the attendants told me last time, compared to the boring old chicken curry n pies you see in BA F lounge
.
I believe as per menu its the Joseph Perrier Brut & Rose. The superb LP Alexandra Vintage Rose 2006/07 looks to be restricted only to Al Safwa these days , perhaps stocks are dwindling.

LP Alexandra was available free-flow in both Al Mourjan lounges in Doha over 4 transits in the past couple of weeks. I was surprised to see it on self-pour in Al Mourjan Garden (on the left side, in the big ice bucket). A truly excellent champagne. Weirdly it was removed from the AM lounge menu and replaced with Bollinger 2006, but so far LP Alexandra seems to be still available (or I was extraordinarily lucky...).
