Problem with codeshare flight check in
Greetings,
I am having issues checking into my flight departing tomorrow. The flights are booked as a JetBlue codeshare, so on the Qatar flight it shows up as B6 flights. When I go to checkin, it says “your flight is unavailable for checkin.” I messaged QR and they said I need to checkin at the airport. does this sound right? I am very nervous about the way this is booked, although it does say “confirmed” on qr website. I’m fine checking in at the airport, but I don’t want to show and they say “oh you don’t have a valid ticket.” (on another note, can they add the KTN at the airport for me to still use pre check? It won’t safe mg personal info on the website either.) |
If you can see the flight sectors are CONFIRMED and each sector has its own ticket number, and you have spoken to the airline and they have not noted any problem then you should not be worrying.
When you get to their airport you check in with the airline that is operating your first flight. It's not clear from the above whether it's Qatar or JetBlue, I suspect the latter but it's ambiguous. Be sure to ask the check-in agent to add your KTN. This shouldn't be an issue despite it being difficult online. Enjoy your flights. |

Just an update in case someone has this problem in the future.
I woke up this morning and tried to check in online and now it’s working. I’m not sure what changed on the back end but everything went through! |

Thank you. QR is operating all my flights so I’ll go to them (I booked through B6 as it was significantly cheaper for whatever reason).
