Landed in Doha without any issue
Our passport and Hayya were checked at the gate in Muscat. On arrival at DIA, they only checked our passport. Very easy and quick process.

Any insight on the availability of taxis upon arrival? I'm flying in a few days and booked pre-arranged transport through Viator but the price is about x5 of a regular taxi... but well worth paying if one must wait for hours at the taxi queue.

Taxis at the airport no issue. But lots of road closures so could take a while to get to your hotel.

DOH Hamad was even more impressive! On arrival, wheels hitting tarmac to being on the Metro within 20mins.
On the way back, arrived by taxi at airport (after match M3) at 18:55 for 19:10 flight. Went to desk basically to rebook for later shuttle flight. Found myself escorted through immigration/security then picked up a second QR staff escort airside to the gate, arrived at the gate (C88!) at 19:07 and made the 19:10 departure, albeit subsequently delayed 90mins once we were on board. Not sure if One World Emerald helped, but hugely impressive service at Hamad.
DWC arrivals process slick again, landside and into taxi within 10mins of plane landing. Sad to see all the sand-blasted Emirates A380s parked up at DWC. BA tier points too, all in all a very impressive operation. Even got a full meal service on the outbound in J (40min flight), 2x drinks on the return in Y. Well done QR!

Return shuttle flight was really easy. Oman Air is doing a great job overall.
Going in and out from DIA is also really funny compared to the sprawling DOH
I'm also really impressed with Muscat. Shuttle flights were much cheaper than Dubai and Abu Dhabi and this city is really underrated. Shocked there aren't more world cup tourists here.

DIA is really basic. I dont even think they are using any jet bridges.
Check in desks were plentiful and I'm sure there were some for premium cabin flyers.
As far as the lounge, they might have one but we didn't use it. I can't imagine it's anything special though so don't show up too early. The setup is definetely meant to shuttle people back and forth quickly, not have them linger around the airport.
