Qatar moving back to LHR T4

Happened to stumble across this online when I was looking for some info,
hopefully it’s correct and indeed Qatar move back to T4 in June. Be great to have the lounge back.

Fab, the lounge experience will be so much better again plus a much quieter terminal.

Everything will be better - queues, baggage handling, distance to the gates, public transport, adjacent hotel prices. It's a win:win. Thank goodness!

I wouldn't say it was a given that the lounge will reopen. With the exception of the home lounges at Doha, every other QR branded lounge remains closed. Although I do appreciate LHR is a special market, especially for QR.

I would put a very high probability on the lounge opening on or shortly after the 14th, QR is back to 5 flights including 2 A380s per day from LHR and that is probably a large part of why QR has pushed to be the first airline to return to T4.

Similarly, I would probably expect the QR CDG lounge to reopen shortly after CDG T1 does.

And that means the walk way access to Hilton T4 is likely to open again.

One of my favorite places to stay for overnite/one day stays in London.

Too bad it wasn't Terminal 3 where the Cathay Pacific lounge is located :-(

I think the Qatar Terminal 4 lounge is better than the Cathay Pacific Terminal 3 lounge, personally. It is a little bit splitting hairs, though, as the QR T4 lounge and the CX F section are probably the two nicest lounges at LHR to me, having tried most of them.

Between 5 and 10 minutes. The tunnel is absolutely brassic in winter.

I'm due to fly from LHR mid-May on business class via Terminal 5. What lounge, if any, is available for passengers at T5?

If OWE travelling in Y or J = BA Galleries First
If OWS travelling in Y or J = BA Galleries Club South, North and T5B

If travelling BA or AA F = BA Concorde Room.

In your specific case it would be any of the 3 BA Galleries Club lounges in T5 unless you’re OWE/QR Plat.
