I have a QR flight to Doha at 9am on Tues 14th June from LHR. From the above it seems that this will be QR's first day back in T4 (so I guess expect some chaos.....)

I am BA silver / Oneworld Sapphire, but am travelling in economy on this flight. I was wondering if:
- Any QR lounge will be open at T4
- If so, will I have access
- if not, any other alternatives

If anyone has any info, it would be most gratefully received.

I have called QR a couple of times, but the phone operatives are useless. They do not even know if there is a QR lounge at T4. Websites (oneworld, QR, Heathrow) are not particularly informative either.

Thanks
please update so we know where we stand as well.

I flew in this morning, and was the very first passenger through Arrivals (which was quite cool).

There was a film crew as we de-planed, so my guess is there will be some fun in the departure lounge too.

Just got through immigration.

Huge queues in economy to check in and decent sized for business.

Only 2 lanes open for standard security checks.

Lounge quite busy actually considering there's only 2 flights departing soon.

P. S. Took a shower but it clearly hasn't been used in a while, it spluttered like bojo when asked about party-gate

How was the newly refreshed and expanded lounge? What differences did you notice?

Sorry, first time in lounge so I don't know any different.

There was a separate area for a la carte dining, not sure if that was there previously.

It did look quite small though and can easily fill up with 2 flights closer together I would imagine.

Coming in the other direction, 35 mins from plane to tube, and that's with having one of the last bags off the conveyor from a packed A380. Obviously bigger challenges lie ahead, but I expected it to be far worse.

All egates open and a seemingly healthy supply of immigration officers.

Hey all, someone posted re the new T4 lounge on FB

https://www.facebook.com/groups/busi...091/?fs=e&s=cl

According to this there are two QR lounges now at T4
- Premium lounge for J pax ( same as before)
- A brand new “Frequent flyers” lounge for status pax

so it seems that the pics that have been circulating around is of the new Silver/Gold lounge rather than a refurbished Premium lounge?

the QR website now lists (just got updated today I think) the following:

- LHR Qatar Airways Frequent Flyer Lounge
Business and Higher / Silver and Higher. Customer Holding FFP Silver tier and Higher with their eligible guest Customer Holding FFP Sapphire and Higher with their eligible guest

- Qatar Airways Premium Lounge
Business and Higher

From OW website too:

The pictures from the Facebook page of catering look a big step down if that is the refreshed premium lounge?

If you read the post those pics are from the brand new frequent flyers lounge for gold/silver, not the premium lounge

Will you be in the Premium lounge? Please do let us know how the lounge was or any pictures you manage to get.

Its a bit confusing as to where we will end up. We are OW Emerald but have tickets in J. However because when I booked the ticket way back, it was terminal 5 and booked without lounge access (L) as we would get access to that BA First lounge. Then Qatar cancelled and rebooked us and it now is ticketed as C so I'm not sure what the check-in people will use. Then of course this week it moved back to T4.
