Thanks for the tips here. Worked by transferring 1 Avios to Qatar. How do I book 3 round trip + infant lap tickets but have pts/award space to book 3 one ways?
If I add infant to the search it shows 0 available but if I add 3 adults, it shows all 3 award space available. Booking separate one ways is more expensive cash price. Confused how to approach this.

1) You can book the flights on the British Airways website as they allow you to book an infant award together with the adult award at 10% of the required Avios of the adult. However, I have noticed that this works sometimes and does not work sometimes when there is non-BA metal on the ticket.
2) Book the adult award tickets on the Qatar website. Then call the Qatar helpline numbers and let them know you wish to book an infant ticket and they will book it for you.

I recently linked my BA and QR accounts and I haven't yet transferred any points. Both my accounts show the same number of Avios though-- these are points I recently transferred to my BA account from Amex (40% bonus!).
Now, when I search for award availability on QR, while it doesn't show me the "you don't have enough points" message, I can never manage to see any availability at all. Even if I see the same QR flights available on AS and BA, the message on the QR site is "There are currently no flights matching your search. Please try different travel dates or itinerary."
I booked a QR Business award on AS but couldn't even see that same flight available for award redemption on QR's own website.

Is there an easy way to find off-peak QR J award tickets? Say I want to fly JFK - DOH - BKK and don't have a specific dates in mind. Today, it seems I have to choose a date and then go week by week/month by month to see what's available. Would prefer to book off-peak which would cost 95K but all I'm see thus far is 190K options.
Any tips?

On the other hand if every date in a week shows as "from 95000 Avios" then it seems to mean that there is not, in fact, any availability at 95K.
Example 2023 dates I found with availability at 95K: Jan 24 & 28, Feb 11, 20, 21, 24, 26, 27, and March 1st.

Looks like you have to scroll through week by week, and it's a bit temperamental, but by searching JFK-BKK with the "Show only Premium Class(Business / First)" option checked I was able to find a few available dates. Dates that only have Economy or "Flexi" (190K) awards available will show as "from 47500 Avios" while the dates that have 95K availability show as "from 95000 Avios".

I've been learning not to trust the monthly view as I've had months showing all Q2 availability but when drilling down to individual dates I see regular award/upgrade availability. Laborious and time consuming but I've got QMiles/Avios and Qcredits desperately needing used.

Looking for 3 or More Qsuites seats East Cost to Male
Looking for 3 or more Business seats East Cost to Male. Has anyone come across 3 or more seats? I've found that since the Avios currency merge seeing only 1 J seat here and there.
Travel Dates Sept 29th East Coast IAD or PHL or JFK etc to Doha. Then DOH to MLE Oct 2nd thru Oct 8th. Let me know if anyone sees 3 Qsuites up fro grabs.
Thanks.

An observation: I searched one way australia to doh for 1 person, cost 100K avios, but when i changed to 2 persons (same dates), cost not 200K but 400K avios (flexible award). So it seemed one has to fly one day and another on a different day (next day or previous day).
Q: can i use my avios to book QR award flights for someone else? Most airlines would allow this, so hope QR would do the same. Thanks for confirming this.

Yes, you can. I have done this before and for added safety the ticket charges were paid using the credit card of the traveling passenger.
