Delayed flight. What should I do?

Hello please can anybody help? I notice that today’s QR4 is running over one hour late and the connecting flight is due to leave Doha at 1.30. Presumably this has something to do with the situation in Ukraine? What happens if this happens next Sunday? Does QR put you on the next flight or do they hold your connecting flight by half an hour or so? And what happens to your luggage? Many thanks for your help/advice

Based on an earlier thread you appear to be flying to CMB. QR 656 on an A320 leaves DOH for CMB at 2:55. If you miss the connection you will be re-booked on the next available flight and your bags will make it on the flight with you. Qatar flies to CMB five times a day. BTW Sri Lanka just eliminated PCR tests for the vaccinated beginning March 1.

It might take a few days for this to be reflected in travel systems

Thank you! I have very bad memories of Emirates flights being delayed and luggage turning up in India two days later… Sri Lanka have actually eliminated the need for any form of testing for vaccinated travellers, PCR and lateral flow as I understand it

Here is the link to the Ministry of Health document confirming the elimination of testing for vaccinated inbound travelers.

I have not had to deal with luggage issues in my travel to Colombo in a truly long time. And never with Qatar. QR contracts with Sri Lankan (UL) on baggage issues I believe. They are quite efficient in delivering it to your accommodation should it ever come to that.

Hope it's ok I piggy back this question, what if the connection flight is to BNE but the destination is SYD, will Qatar rebook on the direct flight to SYD that leave later the same day?
