Qatar Customer Service Number?
Hi,
Does anyone know how to call qatar airways or has anyone had issues recently calling them? I spent over 12 hours cumulatively last week waiting for someone to answer, only to have the phone line so broken that I had to hang up when they finally answered. Every time I was on hold, it sounded like a static bomb. Today, the lines are all disconnected (800 988 6128 & 312 392 3679). I've been trying to just book seats for an american awards business class redemption I made, and after four days, their twitter folks told me that you now have to pay to select a seat with rewards redemptions, and you can only do so at the airport the day you fly. I don't want to fly without having a chosen seat, so I'm stuck between cancelling or fighitng on to talk to someone who can actually help at Qatar. If anyone knows how to get in contact with an actual person there so I can speak to someone directly, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

I don't know if it's related but on the April Privilege Club newsletter they said to contact them from 1 May 2021 a request needs to be submitted through the contact us page.
They didn't specifically say that the phone lines will be disconnected but that was my understanding of the email.

No, I have not received an answer yet on whether an agent at the airport can assist me with choosing seats, or about a different phone number for qatar (but just did above), unless someone has followed up since Sunday? It's not necessary now though since they confirmed seat selection is not allowed in advance.

I have had the same issue calling from the US using the US customer service number, 877-777-2827, it rings one time them it goes silent, eventually giving a busy signal. I saw somewhere online to try calling the reservation number, 844-202-7484. I tried calling that number but I just got a bad feeling when speaking to the person on the other end, as they seemed unable to find basic information regarding our reservation, so I just hung up.

Have you tried the specific Twitter QR support handle? @QRSupport
I needed to select middle Q suites for myself and a companion. One of the reservations was a revenue ticket and the other an AA award. Messaged them yesterday and they responded in about 2hrs with the changes confirmed.
