The flight number is your answer. Alternatively, google is your best friend for such questions. These are repatriation flights. There are also takeoff videos on youtube.

Thanks, I had not used google appropriately. Would be nice as a destination though, gateway from Caribbean/Northern part of South America to Asia bypassing the US/UK.

Thanks again

Qatar Airways Launches Three-Weekly Flights to Toronto, Starting 4 July 2020

Finally YYZ is on the map! Announced June 30, service starts July 4 2020.

Thanks to 24left who first posted in the other new destinations thread Qatar Airways: other 8 new destinations in 2020!

Article mentions repatriation flights which QR did to YVR and YYZ to bring back Canadians home.

Airline has worked closely with the Government of Canada to safely bring home over 16,000 Canadians from the Middle East and Asia during this crisis

Addition of three-weekly Toronto flights will see Qatar Airways operate daily flights to and from Canada

Qatar Airways has continuously operated four weekly flights to Montreal in addition to charter flights to Toronto and Vancouver to help bring Canadians home

Same on the DOH-MNL-DOH flights. But the big difference is no passengers on the DOH-MNL segment.
The crew don't leave the plane in MNL.

Excellent news. I know several people that were really eager for a OneWorld connecting service to YYZ. Qatar flies to more Asian destinations than BA, and so this is something to look forward to post-COVID.

WOW that's a 9hr flight each way. Other than LHR & MNL, any other long haul (or semi) turnaround flights?

Since the flight was so empty, did they offer a cash upgrade for your economy leg?

Were all passengers wearing face masks? Planning on flying Business Class MNL DOH JFK in August, hoping to not have to wear a mask for the entirety of both flights.

Couldn't agree more. Would love this as a destination option from Doha

I'm at EDI at the moment with the Doha flight on the next gate. Only very small children are being exempted from face masks and shields. QR supplied the face shields at the gate to all passengers, you are expected to bring your own mask. They have face shields suitable for kids aged say 5 to 10 years old, with cartoon characters on the top area.

If flying QSuites, would you be able to close the door and sleep maskless? Would that risk trouble with the crew? I use a CPAP machine and have a battery operated travel machine.

According to this press release from Qatar Airways, Business Class passengers can opt out of the face-shield and mask if they choose
https://www.qatarairways.com/en/pres...Press-releases

" Business Class customers are asked to wear their face shield and mask onboard at their own discretion, as they enjoy more space and privacy. In addition, for aircraft equipped with Qsuite, Qatar Airways’ award-winning business seat, Business Class customers are offered even greater privacy with sliding partitions and fully closing doors, and an option to display a ‘Do Not Disturb (DND)’ indicator if they wish to limit their interactions with cabin crew."

Wasn't aware, thanks for posting. Helps make a decision which airline to fly especially on a 13+hr segment.
