Fare rules state that this is a promo fare and outbound can be no later than dec 10th, I didn't book yet, but I think you won't be able to change it online. However its worths a try to call the airline, I am pretty sure a helpful agent could override that.

Guys, Im a little bit lost here and maybe need some advice....
I dont find the availability for the dates and route that I want....If book it on another date, can I change to the dates that I want without any costs? Even if these dates still arent availabe with the promo code? I asked Qatar at their call center but they didn't either.....they just stated me that the fare with the promo code is not always W, as previously mentioned here. Does anyone knows if this is also true?

I'm still in the beginning stage of this story - patiently waiting for promo code.

I wonder if they follow the same availability logic for future date changes, or if its on an any available seat basis.

I started to look at this a few days ago (I'm not eligible, but gf is), and spent few minutes at midnight DOHA time submitting and re-submitting the same request until I got through. A minor tip for others: you don't need to fill in all the information to submit again. Click submit and wait for a response ("too many requests" most likely). If you want to submit the same info again, click the submit button again. If you cannot click the button again because it's ghosted, un-click and click the "I agree to Qatar Airways terms and conditions" button, and the submit button should become clickable again.
Took me three evenings, trying for one or two minutes each evening, before getting through too the "Thank you for submitting your details. ..." response, which I gather from other posters here means I can hope to receive an email with a promo code in a few days. On the first two evenings, whatever quota they use for my country ran out after a few minutes. Perhaps things are getting easier now, as I'm guessing a lot of people have given up due to the non-responsive webinterface.

Has anyone figured out how the promo availablity is derived? Its definitely not W because I can see promo level availability on dates when W is 0. Another flight with exact same available fare codes in ExpertFlyer is not available for promo though, so it doesn't seem to go on fare codes?

For people having issues with availability, I had some success monkeying around with itineraries all the way to the outbound leg and having flexibility with my dates. For example, I found some outbound flights that only had regular economy fares available (no promo price) and I clicked on the cheapest of these options. Then when the return flights popped up, I'd see a promo price return flight for a day earlier than I'd initially selected on the bar at the top. If I switched the return flight to the earlier day and selected the promo price, a promo priced outgoing flight magically popped up. I was able to book JFK to KTM in November this way. Taxes for the 2 tickets were about $150 USD.
We also called the airlines and they confirmed stopover itineraries aren't currently bookable due to the travel restrictions. They recommended booking round trip now and calling back later when travel restrictions are lifted and thought we should able to add a stopover at that time, so we're hopeful that will work out down the road.

I have been trying to change the date but it is not allowing me to keep the promo, which completely defeats the purpose of a flexible fare. You can change for free, but you lose the free flight. I have been trying to get in contact with Qatar, but they are very slow to reply.
