Voucher

We have tried to get a voucher in exchange for our flight in April done online with Covid code but no response from Qatar.

Not sure if we need to do anything else - worrying as we have had notification of flight change - which seems to mean Qatar have us as still flying.

Can't get through on phone to London or Doha, can't get emails answered any one have any ideas?

I'm in a similar situation. My flight is on Wednesday (25th March) I requested a voucher last week, no response and I'm unable to speak to a contact centre.

Not much more I can do except reconsider travelling with Qatar again in the future once this situation is resolved. I appreciate airlines worldwide are in a tough situation, but I've had better experiences with British Airways and Air France in the last week.

Same boat Due to fly on Sunday 22nd March. Put request in for voucher twice and nothing back. Flight still operating as normal. Keep getting cut off from both Dublin and London numbers

Given the very short timeframe you have before departure, I would suggest you if you have the possibility to show at the airport you are due to fly from if you can and talk directly to the QR reservation desk agent. You may not want to be considered as a no-show for your ticket !
This is what I did this monday (although, not on QR but BA/AA) when I wanted to move a JFK-LHR flight for an earlier departure. The airport sales agent can do those things most of times as they should have received instructions from the head office. I tried to call multiple times but I wouls still be holding on the phone right now if I would not have decided to get to the airport !

I'm tempted to cancel my ticket. Suck up the 40% fee and be grateful I've not lost everything.

What do people think the likelihood is of Qatar eventually working through their backlog and issuing vouchers for flights that have passed?

This terrible situation is made worse by the lack of communication from the airline. If Qatar were to acknowledge that all requests will eventually be honoured, I'd happily wait. But I suspect they will make customers claim on insurance policies to recoup any losses and absolve themselves of responsibility.

I've experienced this one already with a travel agent and Covid-19. They dragged their heels intentionally until it was too late to do anything

I am sure lots of us will be voting with our feet and not using Qatar again if that is the case.

Physco Mar 21, 2020 8:00 am

just tried to move our flight but they still want the fee to change - very unhappy with Qatar

Physco Mar 21, 2020 8:03 am

Sorry notice I should have stated we tried to change to a cheaper flight but they still expect us to pay for the privilege of changing. Very poor service certainly will not use this airline again.

I got the confirmation of the refund request on Tuesday so at least I have that.

Just tried London number again and once again got cut off.

29 million passengers in 2019. What number does it have to go down to for them to take notice?
