Lounge pass

Flying this week on QR with a friend, I am in J and platinum, my friend in Economy and silver, I know I can get in Al Safwa, but what lounge can I get my friend into? Plus would I have to escort him and stay in that particular lounge?
I feel I might have to abandon him, if I am going to miss my Al Safwa visit!

He is entitled to the so-called "Business Class" Lounge (no hot food except a soup, no spirits, super crowded at peak times). As a platinum you can guest him to the "First Class" Lounge next door which at least has hot food and spirits and tends to be a bit less crowded, and then head off to Al Safwa.

Guests also have to fly in business class however it doesn't matter if the guest is on an upgraded ticket (miles or cash). Ony the Platinum member needs to be in paid business class.

Hi Sifaan,

Spirits are available but on request (similar to beer/whine). It's basically the same bottles as when you fly on Economy.

Champagne is available (on request too) in the "First Class" lounge next door.

Not sure what you meant by donate but you can only use the lounge pass when you are physically there dealing with the dragons.
