It seems Qatar qMiles are of no use :(
Lets say you are on Citi Prestige Card where you can redeem 4x in qatar.
And citi pays 1 point for each 100 spent.
So basically you spent 25,00,000 INR on your card for piling up 25,000 points only.
Which you can redeem to qatar for 4x = 25000 x 4 = 1,00,000 qmiles
Now for this 1,00,000 qmiles, the only thing you can get is one round trip economy ticket whose value wont be more than 1000$ or 70,000 INR at max.
So basically, you have to spend heavily 25L just to get one ticket of 70k ?
No thanks.

e.g. if those 25k points were good for only 25k INR in retail vouchers, then the 70k worth flight could still be a good deal (but not as much as it was before devaluation)... and if you're flexible you can try to score on the easy deals...

The money you've spent should be your normal spending anyway so the miles are free.
Buying Economy Class tickets is not usually the best use of miles. Paying for Economy with cash and using the miles to upgrade should result in more bang for you buck.
