premium lounge access at CDG
My friend and I are on the same flight out of CDG next month. Both of us are gold tier members of privilege club. He's flying in J and I am flying in Y.
Can he use his "plus one" lounge access to get me in the premium qatar lounge in CDG? or is that benefit only applicable to the contract "business" lounge?
Any info much appreciated.

what am clarifying now is for the qatar premium lounge in CDG because my friend is flying J and, in theory, should be able to take another pax with him to the lounge.
worst case scenario is that he will go to the qatar premium lounge, and I will be stuck in the qatar contract lounge.

I've always had lounge access with my gold status, even when flying economy. and I've always been able to take another pax with me. but these are for the business class lounge in doh or qatar contract lounges in other airports.

OneWorld rules allow guesting, either by cabin or status, but IIRC that rule doesn't apply to QR lounges or non-OW 3rd party contracted lounges. I believe QRPC status allows for guesting in Doha 'normal' lounges, not AS or AM.

QR's own lounge at CDG doesn't allow guesting; the credentials required to enter it are the same as those required to enter AM or AS (prior to the Oct 15, 2019 change) in Doha. I asked at the lounge earlier this year.

Aston100 if you look at qr-cdg-lounge-opened you will see that the QR lounge is airside (past security) .
Also note that access to the lounge is by departing Boarding pass.
Also in accordance with many European airport security rules you probably cannot leave the airport once you have entered the secure area.
These points are to be found in the above link.

On Qatar's website, it states the lounge is before security. On a couple of different pages.

Exactly. There is separate security for each nine gate pod attached to the T1 central area.
