Pre-Order Meals
I’m trying to preorder meals for my Flight ORD-DOH-BLR and then BLR-DOH-IAH. But since the ticket was issued by AA I have to tell them what I want and cannot view the menu under the “manage booking” section. Is there anywhere the menu is present so I can view it?

You need to ask AA for the QR PNR/Record Locater and then use that to access you booking on the QR site.

Actually, there's a much easier way to do this. Take your AA confirmation code to the Qantas manage booking site. Input your PNR and last name there to look up the booking. Once it pulls up, the Qantas site will show a different booking # at the top of the page. THIS is your Qatar PNR. Grab that and pop it into Qatar's manage booking site.

No human interaction required.

Meals can only be pre ordered from DOH unless your are referring to a special meal. In either case call AA to ask for the QR PNR and then you can access the QR website.

Preselect meals?
Hello,

We will be flying on QR in J later this week. I searched around and it looks like preselection of meals isn't mentioned as a must-do, but I did see a couple of threads stating that QR sometimes runs out of preferred chioces on ex-DOH flights? Any thoughts? Thanks!

You can always preorder what you think you want to have and then change your mind once onboard.

You can pre-order on flights ex Doha 14 days before flight or less. Sometimes they run out of some items, so if you want to be certain to have what you like, pre-order it

Are you still only able to order meals ex-Doha? We are flying ex-LAX in biz within 2 weeks. Record locator says we can preselect meals but only shows meals such as vegetarian, low salt, and so forth.

I just did ORD-DOH-JRO and v.v and was only able to select meals for flights ex DOH. It didn’t become available right at T minus 14, but somewhere in that window.

I have a flight next Wednesday in J. QR 962 DOH-DPS. Ticketed by AY. I can only choose special meal like vegetarian, gluten meal and etc but not anything like pre-order meal.

a couple of us are discussing this on the "Pre Select-dining" thread as we are seeing similar. Wondering if its moved to 1week out as someone flying on the 6th can see their menu as per this post from that thread
