I also got these bright yellow VIP tags at VIE check-in since the oneworld priority labels had run out....
Looked cool, but indeed I feared it could signal my bag might be an attractive loot..

Of course we would. And do!! Is that not why FT exists? I'm about to embark on a two week RTW MR, one of the points of which is to be on the ground as little as possible. Sometimes it's unavoidable, though, such as flights which don't operate daily.

I was given these tags flying J in both Paris and London. I'm not part of the well-known 'big families' in Hong Kong even though my parents own one of the listed conglomerates. I was also offered escort service by Qatar to lounge/plane and through security. Also quite worried with what the tags would convey when I was in Paris.. we try to keep a low profile.

Funnily enough Cathay doesn't offer much to us..

In F for those sectors that have an F cabin, J otherwise. Cost was around USD $6K. Bennies? Miles, status, and lots of nice F flying! Trip report? I'll see how that goes. My problem is that I have the PDB of champagne, then can't really do much other than watch movies and sleep. I'm a real lightweight.

We have had the VIP luggage tags on our bags many times ex. NBO because they ran out of the J & F tags. Made no real difference at the other end. Bags came out with the J bags.
