I would have thought that the title of this thread could well do with being updated to reflect the current experience of QR posters here@:-)

We're flying QR J on a Sunday at 8AM. Can we go to the airport the night before, go through security, pay to enter the Al-Sawfa lounge at around 11PM, sleep there until 5AM, and then leave for our flight? Is it possible to do this overnight? Trying to see if we should do this rather than do a hotel room.

Im at the boarding gate to my flight to FRA ( changed to a 2-2-2 damm).
I was able to pay 250QAR and stay pretty much 8 hours at the Safwa Lounge. It was a very nice experience specially because it was really empty all the time.
I am in an one way ticket SIN-DOH-FRA using AA miles

Last Friday went directly to AM and asked the possibility to pay for AS. Attendant called to his supervisor and then escorted us (4 adults and 4 children) personally to AS. Made the payment with no problems.
250QAR is the price also for kids (11 y.o). Booking class R.

Currently sitting at Al Safwa, we paid 250 each and it's just the 2 of us in here. It's almost unsettling!
we are on AA award tickets from CPT to JFK, so having our own room for the overnight layover is money well spent.

Try the French Toast for breakfast if the timing works. I had it on both of my visits in the last two weeks. The best I've ever had, easily. I'll be there again a couple of times towards the end of June. I may have to order two orders on each visit!

Hah, too bad I didn't see that on time because I had the omelette and it was terrible. Like, not first class disappointing but downright bad. But I was stuffed from our prior flight from CPT and didn't want to over indulge before our QSuites flight!

I have a MAN-HKG flight next week with an 8 hour layover in DOH on the outbound. I've been in AS before and thought it was wonderful.
I'm planning to pay for access (250 QR is a bargain in my view). Hopefully this is not representative but I note the QR app specifically states that there is no paid access to AS.

I suspect that is aimed at the general public, not business pax.

I guess they don't want to write it formally anywhere, makes it easier to adjust. And also that they don't want to too many coming over to AS. So a limiting effect in multiple ways.
