so it appears it is official. When I went to the AM they basically didnt even have to check and directed me to goto AS.
once in AS they took the money 250qar. They stamped the boarding pass and actually if they reprint the BP there is a remark in the bottom saying PaX in AS.

it is a 6 hours limit ( in the lounge and not Just the bedrooms)
however in the general area is really not enforceable as the staff go on shifts and they dont really tag you or collect your BP.

The bedrooms are great. One of the best in the world IMO where you can actually sleep.
lacking in amenities - no slippers available but should be able to get from the spa reception.

i had a massage and it was meh and not cheap. The jacuzzi was nice but more gimmicky

f&b is def 10 times better than the refugeee camp in AM but tbh is not that good imo.

Also do note u can only shower in the bedrooms as the Other showers are located inside the spa where you need to pay?

overall it is a large lounge and not much character but nice to spent a long transit in. 8 hours is max imo otherwise you will get bored.

The AM is really one of the worst ones in a major hub as basic amenities like toilets and showers are inadequate and the food is pretty average. I actually prefer BA GF in T5 than this.

AM has about 12 semi-private sleep rooms, BA GF has none. I definitely know where I would rather a long layover.
Also AM toilets are probably on par if not better than BA - not sure what you saw when you went to be honest.

I think that you're being generous in your description. They don't have beds, and walls don't go up to the ceilings. Tried to sleep there recently? If you haven't, give it a try and let us know what you think. It seems to be a magnet for loud snorers.

Does BA GF have anything remotely comparable though?

because BA do not really create too many connections that are in the middle of the night and >5 hours

For BA the toilets whilst not the best at least they have ventilation and I never had to wait 15 mins for a cubicle! Its crazy during peak hour the AM is like a refugee camp. There are queues forming inside the stinky toilet for people to take a shi*.

also food wise BA GF is better and have some healthy options.

The AM is really worst IMO and many wasted useless space.

the LHR QR T4 is however much better.

Why anyone would pay to get into the ...... Al Mourjan lounge beats me.

Good luck getting one. JK, luck won't help you, they're almost never free and you can't rely on them when needed.

Actually, why are you people comparing a business class and first class lounge? If that is BA's FG lounge options I would say it's quite disappointing...

Anyway let us not compare BA and QR... We all know BA services and products are below par... I mean QR's business class exceeds BA's first class.... and if we want to compare lounges, we should compare BA GF to AS...
