The fare in the hand is worth two in the memories of those who bought tickets last year
You've found a fare you seem happy with. So I guess you should weigh up the elation you'd feel if the offer dropped by a couple of hundred dollars against that gutted feeling if it went up by the same amount. Over to you ....

For completeness, for Silver status in addition to that, you would also need four further revenue flights, each of which is either BA-coded, or BA-operated, or IB-coded-and-IB-operated.

And regarding ajeleonard's suggestion about taking Garuda, well... we don't even know if GA will still fly to London next year, as direct LHR flights hasn't been bookable for this winter even. Additionally, GA connections from LHR to Australia via CGK often involves a long layover, which may or may not be worthwhile.

But then if GA drops the London flight, they have to offer an alternative.....Cardiff-AMS-JKT-PER maybe?. Agree with many other posters that it is a bit early and that it makes sense to wait a bit....at Kayak.com now als Singapore Airways has wonderful offers from Oslo-PER....
