15 people in Y means there were a few more people in the back Y cabin (rows 26-36) than the picture I took which shows the front Y cabin (rows 10-25).
Overall 20 passengers total for an aircraft of capacity 254. Ouch.
I agree with other posters that this is the worst outcome for QR. As much as it hurts, it is better to discount your prices and fill the cabin rather than fly with load < 10%. I understand about low season in BKK and Ramadan, but those things are predictable. So either cut the number of daily flights to/from BKK during May, or cut prices.

Been to Al Mourjan recently during peak hours? I would not support opening it up to more people.

Similarly with Al Safwa, whilst it could certainly take a few more guests space wise, opening it up to all OWEs or even just all QR Plats would totally change the atmosphere in the lounge and would make me much less inclined to pay for a cash F ticket. Not to mention it would probably also involve QR downgrading the offering in the lounge (QR are unlikely to pay for Ł100 a bottle champagne for all the OWEs on cheap Y class tickets transiting through DOH).

AM loads however have hardly been affected as the blocked routes had almost no C flyers. I think opening AS for OWE or at least QRPC Plat flying C would be reasonable. Opening AM however does not seem feasible with current capacities. This might change once the new lounge opens.

Flying QR832 on Sunday. Just looked at my reservation and it now looks like it has been downguaged from the A380 to a B773. Bummer - because it looked like I was the only person in the upper deck Y cabin (would have been like flying private LOL!!).

Now that would have been nice. I see that QR switched it May 23rd, Wednesday, to a 773 but today's flight is back to the a380.

Looks like Sunday May 27th is the only day in the next 4 days that they switched from the A380 to the B773. I picked this flight to be able to fly this bird and be in the upper deck - but with a 16 hour layover in Doha. I am thinking I am going to try my luck (and turn on the charm) to see if I can get on one of the five (5) earlier DOH-BKK flights starting Saturday evening. Would rather take a redeye to BKK and have a day there versus an evening in Doha.

Well, I am in Y so just looking for the best ride possible where I can get comfy and build out a little "Hobo Upgrade" - AKA three or 4 seats to myself. The 3 flights early Sunday morning (834/980/836) all look open. Crazy that they run (2) 773's and (1) 346 with departures all happening between 2:00am and 3:00am.

Easy Flight Chabge
Just arrived on QR726. Went to transfer desk and was able to change to this evening's 7:05pm departure versis overnighting and flying out at 8:30am tomorrow morning. Just a $15USD admin fee - no addcollect or refaring the ticket. Figure I'll sleep on the plane, get into BKK at 5:30am and have the whole day to explore the city!

Maybe 25-30 open seats in Y. Lucked out with an empty seat next to me. I was in row 18 which had three seats in the center block before starting with 4 seats in row 19.
