On a separate note, I always get the TG lounge card, but never use it Do you think I could use it on a completely different date and airline? Or will it not scan through?

What is ironic is that some of our group dressed in Chino shorts and polo shirts after some sightseeing in Bangkok were asked to change, whereas in the lounge, there were people wearing hooded tracksuits. I guess they draw the line at shorts.
I wasn't impressed that it took 5 min to be checked into the lounge due to some issue with their registration system, the showers were closed for refurb (I went to JL 1 min walk away), they don't Trust passengers with the WiFi code (you hand them your device and they enter it), and the champagne was Pommery. However, the pastries were nice.

They weren't doing this when I was there last week. Maybe it was a member of staff who was trying to be extra helpful, or they may have run out of the little slips containing the password.

Perhaps they were trying to be helpful and I might have misjudged their intentions. However, following a somewhat awkward entry procedure with a J class boarding pass where staff seemed to be obsessed about correctly registering us, then obsessively checking my ID again as I almost immediately left the lounge to the JL lounge for a shower (I couldn't understand this) it raised my suspicion that they were not entering WiFi passwords themselves just to be helpful.
