Hmmmm. Not a choice I'd expect, or want, to make - man in shorts helping himself to sushi, or man in pyjamas doing the same

You have to laugh... I'll be there next week, so we'll see.

But if they're enforcing an actual dresscode, your complaint is with the rule, not the enforcement, right?

I couldn't care less how people dress in public, as long as they are somewhat decently covered, their annoying/rude behavior i would complain about.

In my opinion you should have access to the BKK QR Lounge as the “new” rules came in place in February - but don’t forget, you are dealing with QR, nothing is reliable, everything can change, QR will not take any responsibility!
Yes, as per rules, no shorts allowed...excemptions see above ;-)

And among the new rules are that QRPC PLT members get lounge access based on their upgraded status (including AM and AS), yes?

Is this really a formal rule and not just at lounge agent's discretion when they're busy?

I was wearing trousers with sleeveless round neck top. Staff stated dress code applied to all Qatar Lounges throughout world after we explained there hasn't been an issue anywhere else.

I was only permitted after putting on long sleeved cardigan. Staff got my husband Qatar Airways pyjama bottoms to wear.

Have spotted several men in pyjama bottoms. Dress code being strictly enforced.
Love it, that’s like a lawyer’s solution to a fashion problem. Too bad they didn’t make you wear a PJ top, then you would have had a full set.

No, I did not hear about that - just the upgrades made before February the fifth, I guess

I got excited because I enquired about the lounge at check in and the agent mentioned it was open (about 12.30pm).
Alas it is not...
