Why would they withdraw the LHR route just because more 35K become available?

They advertise certain routes with Q-Suites, and particular A/C. So if they have more then one 35k they could start flying it on a longer route and advertise it this way.
(Like they did with 777 Q-Suites for JFK, they had to wait for an extra 777-Qsuite to be delivered before they could fly it after launching the LHR and CDG routes that they can fly with 1 A/C, for JFK they need 2)

If they will is another question, London is quite a premium route for QR so they might just leave it there.
But like msm2000uk said, you just never know for sure.

DOH-LHR can be flow daily with a single aircraft. Longer routes generally require 2 or 3 aircrafts to insure a daily service. If they get more A35Ks they will probably add another longer route (and thus increasing the number of QSuites routes). They can not mix 77W QSuites with A359/A35K QSuites since crews can't be swapped between 777s and A350s.

QR16/15 booked for LHR-CMB trip in mid-March with the current Mrs Whitespace. Changed this week to 351 so gave the London number a call to change window seats into the E/F double pair.

Very much looking forwards to trying the Q Suite.

Any advice (pros and cons) on the following seats: 16A/K or 31A/K?

Thanks!

31A/K has much more legroom.

I prefer 16A/K over 31A/K and here are my reasoning,

- In 16A/K you get served first for the meal service & last for the second meal service -> You could maximize sleep ( As a Platinum, my meal order is already taken prior to the meal service before arrival, so my first choice is always served ).
- In 16A/K, you disembark before, so you wait less at immigration if applicable.
- Seats 31A/K are close to the galley & lavatory so before landing people would queue up in front of you for the lavatories.

The only negative part about 16A/K is that 16A/K has less legroom compared to 31A/K but you could put your feet on the class divider. Also, if there is a baby that cries throughout the flight at row 16, that flight might be unenjoyable.
RSDoha and Loungeabout like this.
