Just had a look at my booking for this route in Mar 18. Flying Business and seems to still say operated by A350 but the seat map appears to indicate 777 with a 2-2-2 config instead of 1-2-1.

Tried dummy seat change with phone app to middle 2 but it is not allowing. As we are pax of 2 one behind each other on what I believe 350 no issues but if this is now a 777 then would like to change. Any idea of equipment for March 2018 on this route?

Whats the exact date/flight? Flights endJan until end of the winter season, 24MAR18, are loaded as B77W.

Date is 18th march. It's just odd that the booking on Qatar says 350 but alas the seat map 777. Also changes progress until confirm then it says unexpected error and does not allow seat change to be implemented.

Sounds like the Latam A350s which QR have been borrowing for a while.

FRA-DOH is likely QR's most favoured bait and switch route. Buy A350, get B777. Even though I consistently booked A350 flights, I got more B777 than A350 flights. Had this happening in April, May, October and December. It's not like I don't know the "don't book by aircraft type" rule, but given the amount of switches,I wonder why QR even bothers to advertise A350 on this route.

Thanks for the responses. Actually I gave wrong travel date it is 16 march. If I knew this is such a changeable flight I might have tried other departure point. Still unable via the mmb to change seats. It allows for the process then continually comes up with "unexpected error"..bit frustrating.

had that error when somehow two FFnumbers where attached to my PNR, after CSR at airport (TXL,getting there by car, was even faster than waiting for 60 min on the phone) removed one of them, I could MMB again

16th March is also 77W. Not sure where or when you've seen 350 operating:

jbflyboy84 according to Check Availability | QR-Cargo there is one daily A350 scheduled from 17 December to 12 January when it becomes two 77W flights until the start of the summer schedule (26 March).

Thats correct.

Up until that date, the A350 is on FRA as BA is temporarily suspending their DOH flight as some of their widebodies are requiring extended maintenance and QR is upgrading QR5/6 from B788 to A350 and QR15/6 from A350 to B77W to cover the missing capacity. This reverts back in mid Jan but is likely to be extended so the 350 MAY go back on FRA, but for now, it is scheduled as B77W.

Thanks for this. I have now managed to change seats via UL app. When I requested e mail confirmation it says aircraft type A3509..but from what you provide and the AC map it's a 777.
