I'm not PC member and successfully used the promo code for a discounted fare. I'm certain there won't be any issues. About a year ago they had a promo code VISA15 or something and it was supposed to only work when paying with Visa card. I used the code and paid with Mastercard, no issues whatsoever.

This is just laziness or incompetence from QR as similar promos on most other airlines you can only use the credit card supporting the promotion.

Here's something that has been floating around in my head in the last couple of days: Next year QR will be 25 years old. They've been founded in late 1993 and started operating in early 1994. Crossing fingers that we'll get a nice sale to celebrate.

Let's hope so. I'm still looking for a SIN deal out of Europe and maybe one other to Australia/NZ.

According to Wikipedia, founded November 22, 1993 and started operations January 20, 1994. I would have thought that the founding date would have been more significant, the real birth date of the company, but I'll still hold out hope. I have four roundtrips BKK-U.S. and one BKK-DOH to book (not counting the miscellaneous MR thrown in here and there), and I'm currently holding off, hoping for some sale prices.

Well, then I guess we'll only have to wait about five more years for the 25th anniversary sale:-))

Good sale is 1250 to 1350 GBP OSL/ARN to AKL.

ARN-AKL-OSL was around €1380 return during the 20th anniversary sale. I ended up booking AMS-AKL-ARN because I don’t want to take the risk in misconnecting on the first flight.. Also travelling with an infant so wanted to start at my homebase AMS. Price was still much lower than the 2100r/t fare from ARN at the moment ..

However, I monitored the prices from ARN/OSL for a longer time and 2100 euro as it is now, is not bad.. The1400ish fare came around just a few times last year..

If you look at https://www.qatarairways.com/en-dk/homepage.html you will see "48-Hour Sale - Exclusive online offers. Fares from DKK 3349 Book by 29 December. " and then look at the specific offers you will see "Hong Kong DKK 3272" ! Since when has 3349 ben less than or equal to 3272?

And under https://www.qatarairways.com/en-se/homepage.html On page https://booking.qatarairways.com/nsp/views/index.xhtml for ARN-BKK 19th Jan. Economy Promo SEK 3051 and Economy Saver SEK 2797. Promo more expensive than Saver?

Consistent inconsistency!

Fully agreed. And of course the more expensive fare is likely to come with worse restrictions too! I think they want to call those 'exclusive offers' to attract shoppers, but this particular promotion is best forgotten altogether!

Hello,

Do the special offer fares like the companion tickets in business ever come up from Australia starting points?
All seem to be Europe based.
