QR70/69 DOH-FRA-DOH - Switching from A350 to B777?

Hi,

I'm booked on to QR70 in late December returning QR69 early January and my booking updated yesterday to show a B777 rather than A350 on the outbound route, I've checked Qatar's website and it's showing a B777 when booking from today onwards but I can see today's flight is being completed by an A350...

Anyone know what is going on? I was looking forward to trying the A350 for the first time and looks like that's now not likely!

Unfortunately equipment changes do happen, especially in regards to seasonal demand or even demand on the day. Otherwise, there are factors that would make other flights in the network more desirable to be operated by another equipment, hence causing such changes.

Otherwise, they may have planned to make a seasonal schedule change, although it hasn't been updated earlier. In your case, having booked months before, equipment changes are definitely common, unfortunately.

Also don't forget at the moment (no idea about Dec/Jan) that flight is a LATAM A350 if you were wanting to try a 'proper' QR A350, much to my mild annoyance since I will be on it next week!

I have an upcoming MUC-DOH-WDH, originally A350 and 787.
It is now showing up A350 with 2-2-2 seatmap (?) and A330.

Of course as usual, QR messed up the seats without any notification whatsoever.
On top of that - I don't think QR is flying an A350 with 2-2-2 - so picking new seats seems useless.

The Wolf QR have leased 4 A350s from Latam with 2-2-2 seating in J. These have primarily been used on the MUC and MAD destinations. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...ch-2017-a.html for details.
