500,000 Bonus QMile Offer!

I've just received a rather interesting offer...

Basically - travel on all the first flights to or from their new destination between now and 31 March 2018 and earn 500,000 qmiles - open to ALL main members. Starting with their 3 new destinations this month.

Incredibly lucrative mileage wise - but will anyone be able to fly them ALL!!!!?

This seems a bit too good to be true. 500,000 miles for taking 3 flights?

Edit: Oh, they're announcing more new, as of yet unknown, routes between now and March?

I don't understand it either. They write "You can earn 500,000 bonus Qmiles* if you travel on each and every first flight to or from all our upcoming new destinations, starting from now until 31 March 2018."

What do they mean with "first flight"? If it means what I think it means, it would be pretty much impossible.

This is a ridiculous offer IMO. Not only would someone need a huge amount of time on their hands but a silly amount of money too. This month alone you would need to take the first flight to sohar Prague and Kiev. Before the year ends QR will launch to SFO, Canberra, Chiangmai, Santiago and Rio and that's before other unannounced destinations. Logistics and costs alone will likely put most people off, but hats off to anyone who actually achieves this.

Just received my email and had wondered the same thing. :confused:
As an example, does 'first flight' mean I must be on the Aug 8th flight to or from Sohor? Or does in mean I can book it for anytime up until March 31, 2018.
Also, just HOW MANY additional 'Fisrt Flight' cities will they name?
This promotion seems like it would be too easy for Qatar Airways to move the goal posts. :rolleyes:

First flight means inaugural flight to every city.

8th August to Sohar , 21st to Prague.

AND you should fly inaugural flights to every future Qatar Airways new destinations(ex SFO,SCL,CAN,CNX,GIG , etc)

Yeah I'm out. I'm neither rich nor unemployed enough for this. I wonder if there will even be a single person who'll get these 500k Qmiles.

Watch out for 30 March 2018 when they launch 2 routes on the same day :D

If we had a complete list of the new destinations and the exact dates of the flights we need to take, that would be one thing. But why should anyone book the first three flights to be "on their way" to the bonus without knowing what else is in store in the next few months and possibly ending up with nothing at all? This makes no sense.

Not to mention the high possibility of date changes on inaugural routes! Lols :D

I think there's a high possibility this promo is completed by zero people!
