Yes it is. On the other side the screen is bigger. I also can sleep better in the bigger seats with no hole for the feet. And the cabin feels much more private than the big J section.

I agree there were only 4 of us in F. The toilets are also amazing. I am just surprised they do not up the food offerings , other than just caviar.

Just offered upgrade at check-in.
HKG-DOH-CWL flying in Y on the 04/08. Originally booked in N. Bit surprised at the high prices to be honest. Especially considering CWL is a new route, is supposed to have low J demand and be performing poorly. Overall, it would work out close to ten thousand HK dollars (£977) cheaper to have bought a J ticket in the first place if the return prices are the same.

HKG-DOH-CWL flying in Y on the 04/08. Originally booked in N. Bit surprised at the high prices to be honest. Especially considering CWL is a new route, is supposed to have low J demand and be performing poorly. Overall, it would work out close to ten thousand HK dollars (£977) cheaper to have bought a J ticket in the first place if the return prices are the same.

Also, for the CWL flight, the outbound flight was practically empty. There were four people in the 22 seat business cabin. I don't know the exact figure for the HKG-DOH flight, but the there were five people in the rear 18 seat business cabin. Why are they charging so much if the business cabins are not nearly full!?
Of course, I don't know how full the cabins will be on my return flights, but with these 'special' prices, I can't imagine anyone will be upgrading.

Upgrade Y (booked as W) to J, for an upcoming-flight next week, offered for THB 35,268 from DOH-LHR one-way, where the original CNX-DOH-LHR return-trip had cost THB 24,805 for all four sectors, which was the most-expensive ticket of my five trips on this route this year !
I must regretfully decline, that's almost-enough for two returns BKK-AMM-LHR on RJ in Economy, in their current Sale !
The last-minute opportunity to upgrade a sector could probably generate some much-needed extra revenue for QR, but not at these sort of prices, and current fares in-the-back (where I fly) are way out of touch with the competition, I simply cannot see myself flying with Qatar much longer, unless something changes.
I must regretfully decline, that's almost-enough for two returns BKK-AMM-LHR on RJ in Economy, in their current Sale !
