Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Which routes have Qsuites?
Details and changes can be found in the various recent threads.

As to other routes NO ONE KNOWS!

I got the old config DOH-AKL last week - disappointing as it had been QSuite for a couple of weeks! It was ok though.

as youll need a 777LR for that long a distance, I understand that theyll all be converted by Christmas, so you should be fine

I have booked flights on QR however they are ticketed with BA on a BA flight number. There are 2 of us travelling and at present we have 3 individual suites booked as all the middle ones are blocked out. Spoke to QR to ask that we can get a double seat and they say we cant change your seat as its booked with BA. BA cant change the seat as the others are all blocked by QR. How can I get Q Suites together?

Doesn't matter that it's on BA ticket. Call back, or Tweet them.

I like the 2-2-2 configuration on the 77L, ok, stepping over someone is not great. But the seat is huge, the cabin open, and it's really comfortable... especially after several champagnes!

Just some updates on destinations getting the new QSuite -

https://milelion.com/2019/03/18/qata...-kuala-lumpur/

With effect from 15 July 2019, Qatar Airways is sending a QSuites equipped A350-900XWB aircraft to ply its Doha – Kuala Lumpur route.

QR845 KUL – DOH
DEP 0920
ARR 1220

QR844 DOH – KUL
DEP 1930
ARR 0825 (+1)

https://onemileatatime.com/qatar-air...-philadelphia/

Qatar Airways will offer Qsuites on the their daily flight between Doha and Philadelphia as of June 1, 2019.

I've accepted QR's offer to move me from PHL to JFK next month, to experience the QSuites.
I'm very much looking forward to it.
And I'll get to try it again in May to LAX.
Super psyched!

Edit - forgot to update about CMB

https://travelingformiles.com/on-whi...class/#colombo

Qatar Airways offers 4 daily flights between Doha and Colombo and, from what I can see on ExpertFlyer, it looks as if flights QR668/669 now offer the Qsuite Business Class cabin on a refurbished Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

QR668/669 is currently operated by QATAM aircraft with 2-2-2 config. It's perfectly fine but defintely not Qsuite or QR's own A350
I've tried it last year to MUN, but after several flights since with QR;s own 350/787 I've been spoilt

Just got last-minute aircraft change for tomorrow's (22MAR) QR274 AMS-DOH.
I created a system (spending multiple days on it) in which I analyzed all factual cabins on this flight since the beginning on Q Suite operation in October, found out that was almost never the old cabin on Fridays, booked it for Friday, then checked my flight and all other dates every single day since the booking in January, noting the patterns of them changing the aircrafts (normally they did it one week in advance and only once they changed it on the same day), checked in online yesterday (while it was still Q Suite) only to completely get my dreams crushed today finding out it was replaced with the old cabin version. We also spent all our miles to get there in Q Suite which ended up just for nothing. Sad.

Just goes to show that it isn't worth planning trips based on equipment. My SIN-DOH flight falls on the one day that is being downgraded from A35K to A359 - but I still think QRs A359/787 and even the older 77W J class are some of the best so I'm not too bothered. Enjoy your trip as it's something that probably 95% of the population will never get to experience.

I'm sorry for the last min. a/c sub. I know how it feels
I'm impressed though by your analysis - care to share how you did that?

Strangely, SIN is supposed to be an all QSuite destination after 3/31 but when I pulled up some flights for SINDOH next month, it's showing some days where 1-3 flights are operated by the regular A359.

Hi all

Yesterday there was an A350-900 (A7-AQA) delivered to Qatar Airways.
It was before listed at LATAM and now Qatar Airways. Does anybody know, if this Aircraft is fitted with Qatar's QSuite or LATAM Seats?

Thank you.

it was destined for LATAM, so it is very likely that it has the Latam seats.

First business flights on QR tomorrow MAN - KUL (usually BA or Emirates) and last two weeks Q suites showing for MAN -DOH and even at OLCI. This morning looks like a/c change and regular 2x2x2 cabin. Absolutely gutted and now very underwhelmed especially as not looking forward to the 8 hour night flight on A340 of which Ive heard horror stories.

Am I overreacting?
