Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

QR740 LAX-DOH on 772L. EF seat map shows 11 rows x 4 seats. Do seats 3A & 4A have full window(s)?
QR31 DOH-EDI on A359. EF seat map shows 9 rows x 4 seats.
QR 32 EDI-DOH on A359. Same as above.
QR19 DOH-DUB on 788. ED shows 5 rows x 4 seats PLUS Row 6 has only 2 middle seats. Are these Qsuites?

Thank you very much.

Im sure this has been asked/discussed however I didn't see it ---

Is the Q-Suite in the 350s the same as the 777s --- I am thinking since the 350s are narrower it has to be different - I love the 777 Q-Suites!

I've flown Qsuite (and non-Qsuite) in both, and I think the Airbus Qsuite is narrower. Most noticeable to me was the lack of air nozzles in the Airbus planes, making the flights quite hot.

slightly off topic but are y’all not worried about the rainy season in the Maldives?

Where does 9-inches go? The aisles are wider?
I'm still wondering about the difference between A350 and 777. They have exactly the same seats in dimension(pitch, width)?

No. I recall AAB talking at the press announcement saying that the QSuites for the 78x would be delayed a bit as they had to redesigned slightly to account for the narrower cabin compared to the 777.

My march 25 QR815 HKG-DOH was a q suite config, and now it’s gone. Feel like crying 😢

but its interesting that, according to expertflyer, only march 25 has been swapped out from QSuites and the others are still QSuites.... *sigh*

I'm considering QR10/QR908 LHR/DOH/SYD on May 20th. Looking at ExpertFlyer I see no explicit mention of qsuite - but it does seem to be 1-2-1.

Does that mean it *is* qsuite? Is there any way to determine how likely any give route will be swapped out for non-qsuite?

QSuite appears as a staggered 1-2-1. If it’s standard 1-2-1 that’s not QSuite.

EDIT: isn’t QR10 the A380? In which case it’s a no.

I think that was then updated to "couldn't manage it" with no further elaboration as to what would be done on 787 and A380 frames. Don't think there's been any indication that the 789 deliveries will actually happen this year either. Latest I've seen about that was that the engines hadn't been selected - and I wouldn't be surprised if they're on the back burner given the still-ongoing blockade...? [to stress: all this is snippets from around FT rather than anything more - all has been very quiet on these topics of late!]

That just leaves F & H if memory serves. That'll be great for those of us based in AKL having certainty around equipment.

Looking at it just now it appears A7-BBF may be the next refurb candidate having flown to Doha from Auckland on the 11th of March, with the newly refurbished BBD doing DOH>AKL and BBH scheduled for AKL>DOH for the 12th March
