Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Which routes have Qsuites?

Looks quite up to date. At least I can speak for Berlin (TXL) they fly the QSuites since 23rd of October most of the time.

I'm a bit sad I'm due to fly QR in J next month from BKK to VIE and my BKK flight is not the Q-Suite flight, while Vienna - though A350-900 - isn't Q-Suite either
Then again, QR flights in J are still something to look forward to!

HKG is mostly all Q Suites now. SIN will get Q-Suites when A350-1000 operates this route beginning 01JAN19. KUL will get Q-Suites beginning 31MAR19 on QR 844/845 (subject to getting QR-ed of course).

To be honest, 'm not even sure whether I prefer the A350 with or without Qsuite, I think they are both excellent. Qsuite has more privacy, but I really like the "old" seats.

I have got tickets LAX-DOH for march 2019 a month ago - at that time the map did not show Q-Suites, but it does now...I actually called QR to select E/F seats (somehow could not do it on their website because they blocked all the middle seats that could convert to quadruple) and they were able to assign them...while chatting with an agent, I learned that from mid-Feb 2019 all QR flights from LAX to DOH will have Q-suites, so I am pretty sure you will have them when flying in April 2019...

Perhaps somebody can update the wiki
I am not ready to update the wiki yet because I don't think it was officially announced (and SeatGuru does not reflect it either) but from mid-February 2019 Q-Suites will be on LAX-DOH route...QR agent confirmed it to me and was able to select E/F seats for me on a LAX-DOH flight in March 2019...long overdue!

Not sure about "official", but the LAX-DOH change was captured in at least one spot. https://thepointsguy.com/news/qatar-...o-los-angeles/

Also, I know from personal experience that DFW-DOH has Q-Suites as of my Sept 2019 flight. I think another FT poster had personal experience of their DFW-DOH going Q-Suits in the March/April time frame.

I thought so too. But I could see on Flightradar24, that QR816 had a majority of non_Qsuites from 1 to 10 November.

Hi all,

QR Mod Team here.

Just a quick one with regards to the WIKI.

I'm delighted that QR Forum FTers have taken to updating the WIKI, but I just wanted to explain why we hadn't done it ourselves.

While QSuites are available on the routes mentioned by In4star, copied over from the QR website, it is important to note that the QSuite service is not guaranteed yet. I would say that other than LHR and CDG, there is no certainty of being placed onboard a QSuite aircraft. As such, we haven't amended the WIKI.

And even on the CDG route, at least two times, the seat map was still showing a QSuite config and to my surprise when I boarded it was a classic one.

The BKK flight for example, and several others, are absolutely guaranteed.

Indeed, QR has been rotating different aircraft types on CDG-DOH and many of them do not have Qsuites. Currently QR39 and 41 do not have Qsuites.
