Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!

I'm flying J to DOH-NRT 8/8 and ICN-DOH 8/24 and I'm desperately hoping that NRT gets the Qsuites between now and then. ICN is supposed to have them on QR858/859 but my return [859] has the old 2-2-2 setup. Could the Qsuites have not been loaded into the system for that flight or is this a classic case of different equipment seeing that QR operates two dailies between ICN?

Interestingly/ironically, my F flight from DOH-KWI, which was a 320, is now showing as a 351.

ICN gets the Q Suits, but rarely gets the old configuration (I think on Fridays). So try to switch dates you might find the Q Suites.

Delighted to hear of more Q Suite flights on AMS DOH. Our flights not till Jan19 so very hopeful of full Q Suite service by then! Did you not fancy experiencing the double “bed” Centre seats with Mrs E2S?? :-)

Sydney - Doha

Hi, ref below

Between 21 July and 27 October 2018 the Qatar Airways 777-300ER which flies one of the airline’s two daily routes between Doha and Sydney is schedule to operate with the Qsuite Business Class cabin (the first Qsuite flight from Australia will depart 22 July).

We are flying Sydney/Doha on the 28th October! Does anyone know if above means last DOH/SYD flight is on 26th Oct or 27th Oct (with return leg on 28th). QR Seatmap shows old seats for 28th. Tried expert flyer and for DOH/SYD on 27th Oct and came up with error message.

Hi, reading the FlyerTalk forum for years, now decided to register and post finally. So it's my welcome post

Last week booked revenue ticket including the DOH-PVG sector operated on 773 equipped with Q-suits. 2 pax - one QR Gold (OWS), one QR Silver (OWR).
Of course during the initial flight selection the middle seats where blocked, called the priority line and heard "Sorry, those seats can only be assigned at the airport", Okay took 1K/2J for the time being.

Today logged into the Manage my trip to see if any options would open, no luck, but a new gray alert appeared under the seat map saying "Click here to browse our Qsuite selection FAQs" Clicked on the link provided which resulted in opening same site in a new tab with all the middle seat unlocked (1A/2B still locked tho, and 3A already taken). So a new option for "unlocking" the centre seats. Immediately took 1EF.

I'd love to show you this grey alert which appeared below the seat map on qr manage my booking website, but need at least 5 posts to be able to add photos

Typically how far in advance are they opening Q Suite bookings on an additional route? Ie when the seat map gets changed

Two of my forthcoming flights are now showing as suites. Fingers crossed this remains the same.

QR can sometimes pleasantly surprise ist customers in a good way.
